Overview
Oma Poma and Rowe's Prose is a potpourri of thoughts, words and deeds recounted through various vehicles. Subjects range from childhood fun, to encouragement for those coping with various forms of cancer, to reflections on life, Then and Now. Several poems reflect collaborations between Linda, a print media artist, and paint media artists associated with Breakwater Gallery in Cape Vincent.
Cover photo conveys that sense of wonder engendered by the place of danger that writers call their happy place. Any writer could sit on that bench and write, oblivious to the waters rising around them. The photo was taken in Cape Vincent during the 2017 flooding of the St. Lawrence River environs.

About the Author
Linda is a member of Poets and Writers' INK in Cape Vincent, New York, where she and her husband live in retirement. She lived in the Philippines with her military family during the Korean Conflict in the 1950s. In adulthood, she enjoyed careers in public government and in public schools. Volunteerism is an important part of her life. She and her husband were Victorian Dance re-enactors as a living history museum in Kansas for six years. She currently writes for a local newspaper and a business association monthly publication. Her first novel, "Tommy Yeager! That's Me!-Special Needs Aging in a Not-So-Special World" was published in June, 2017. "Oma Poma and Rowe's Prose is her first published collection of poetry and prose". A children's book is in the works.
Linda's hope is that each of her works will stir in her reader a memory hidden within them that confirms we are all not so different. Wherever you are, if you laugh or cry, do both simultaneously, or just reminisce; for a brief moment in time we will be connected by a kindred chord.
