This was a cute chapter book for kids. It is easy to get annoyed with siblings, but harder to learn to think before saying or doing something you might regret. April learns the hard way when she gets mad at her brother on the bus for teasing her about her glasses and changes him into a dog! With the help of her friends, the Internet and an actual regular old book the girls look for a way out of the situations. I think kids could easily relate to the characters and their struggles and it goes well with the love so many of them have for Harry Potter and magic. What child hasn't dreamed of the possibility of being able to make things happen magically! It was a fun, quick read.

A very cute chapter book for a young teen. We have a young girl gradually realizing she has some powers, at first she willed a door to close. Like most siblings, her brother gets on her nerves...she has seen on the internet a spell to turn him into a dog. Now who wouldn't want these powers to take care of that annoying sister or brother....know I would have loved to be able to do this. Ahh imagination!!! We find she has a few really good friends who help her deal with this problem....can you imagine a mother now allergic to her son??? Know there are some really funny and a few chuckles reading this one!! I recommend this for an entertaining read, something like "Bewitched" was. It is fantasy, but really sweet, petting your brother's soft fur!! I received this book through TLC Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.

Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite OMG...Am I A Witch?! by Talia Aikens-Nuñez is a cute story about April Appleton. April is so annoyed with her older brother that she wishes to turn him into a dog. She gets a spell from the internet and the spell works. April realizes that she has a lot more powers than she thought. Now she has to make him normal before her parents find out. She gets help from her friends, Eve and Grace, and tries to reverse the spell. Now will April be able to reverse the spell before her parents find out? The book begins with the transformation of Austin to a dog. The story is silly and entertaining for kids. You feel that the characters are genuine and April's behavior is something all young girls can relate to. I found the part where Austin is growling and April petting him hilarious. The adventure is just what girls would love to do to their brothers when they are annoyed. The story is full of fantasy and it is also whimsical. Grace and Eve also have important roles in the story. Trying to get Austin back to normal is funny and weird. That will make readers giggle.  On the whole, it's a whimsical story filled with loads of fun and crankiness. It is the sort of story every child will enjoy because of the magic and adventure. The author keeps up the suspense of what would happen to Austin right to the end, making readers curious and excited.
