About the Author

Anne E. Patrick, SNJM (1941-2016), a member of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, was "William H. Laird Professor of Religion and the Liberal Arts, Emerita, at Carleton College. A past president of the Catholic Theological Society of America she received its John Courtney Murray Award in 2013. Her books include Conscience and Calling: Ethical Reflections on Catholic Women's Church Vocations and Liberating Conscience; Feminist Explorations in Catholic Moral Theology.

Susan Perry, an editor at Orbis Books for over two decades, now resides in Philadelphia, PA.
