If you think you have it hard. If you think life dealt you a bad hand, read this story of a man who didn't know how to quit. Get an education in how to dig deep and stick to something.

I gave this book as a Christmas gift to my husband and he wants to tell me about it and says I won't believe what happens but I want to read it so I won't let him!

If you want to relive in his own words the life of a person in old Alaska. (Late 1800's through mid 1900's.) James Huntington grew up hard and lived even harder but he never did seem to lose that ability to enjoy life. Many people could learn from his book. In other words this is an outstanding book and I highly recomend it.

its a really great book. i really liked it. awsome!! all the adventures in this book, it would keep a little kid occupied. It is a really great book to read any old time. It was about a half breed man just trying to make a living in Alaska. i would recommend this book to anyone.

I read this book when I was in high school. My mother handed it to me and said it was pretty good. I learned that when she said a book was pretty good it was really good. This book was great. An easy read for a younger person, full of adventure and emotion. Interesting cultural and historical flavor. Very inspirational. Just a great book. I would recommend this book for teachers who are looking for books to have in the classroom.
