On the Way to the Wedding (Bridgerton Series #8) by Julia Quinn

A funny thing happened...

Unlike most men of his acquaintance, Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love. And he is convinced that when he finds the woman of his dreams, he will know in an instant that she is the one. And that is exactly what happened. Except...

She wasn’t the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love with another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, wants to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she offers to help Gregory win her over. But in the process, Lucy falls in love. With Gregory! Except...

Lucy is engaged. And her uncle is not inclined to let her back out of the betrothal, even once Gregory comes to his senses and realizes that it is Lucy, with her sharp wit and sunny smile, who makes his heart sing. And now, on the way to the wedding, Gregory must risk everything to ensure that when it comes time to kiss the bride, he is the only man standing at the altar...

I am sad to see the series at an end, but what a way to go! This book ends the series on a suberb note. It is the most romantic book of the series. I highly recommend reading it. It starts out a little slow, but it really gains momentum in the middle.

If you already red the others books in this serie, don't WAIS your money in this one. The entire book was a joke! If you like just a comedy in a book, this is ok then. It's more a comedy than a romance.

there was too much time wasted on his loving hermione, and he was way too shallow. there was no real spark between gregory and lucy, and when she threw them together it was rushed. there was no real build up and no real cliff hanging moment. no matter how romantic the guy was in the end, it didn't feel real. I did like the book, i just had some issues with it

The last book in the Bridgeton series was a great book to read. It was a nice way to end the series.

This is my least favorite in this series. For some reason Gregory just did not spark my interest the way the male characters have in the other books of this series.

This is my FAVORITE book in the series!! If fact, it might be one of my favorite books I've ever read - and I've read thousands! This tells the tale of the youngest male Bridgerton. From the first line of the book, you're hooked. You learn right away - he has to get to the church to stop a wedding. And then, you get the pleasure of looking back and finding out WHY there is a wedding. I read all of Julia Quinn's books. Love her. But this was the FIRST of the Bridgertons that I went ahead an purchased also for my Nook. I have already read (and reread) the paperbacks years ago. But for my Nook HD+ - this book was a MUST! Love it. It is funny. It is charming. It tells a story that goes beyond deep. The reader can't help but be right alongside the characters. They seem so very real. LOVE this book. Not enough stars there to rate it. It is off the charts!
