Overview
This is the story of Clay and Nikki, two teenagers struggling to find true love during their four years of high school. Both have experienced the kind of severe trauma most teens never face, leaving them paralyzed and unable to have a normal relationship. Now, however, as their high school years pass by, they must either give in to their fears, or find a way to overcome them.
But in the midst of their struggle, an even more dangerous attack begins...one that will threaten their very lives.
Will Clay and Nikki discover how to overcome their fears and find the kind of love they're searching for? Will this new hidden danger finally win out in the end? Or will Clay's training be enough to defeat it... and if so, at what cost?
Filled with romance, suspense, action, and life-changing lessons; this story will challenge and inspire teens and adults of all ages.

About the Author
After graduating from White Bear High School in 1966, I met my future wife, Vianne, during our first semester of College in Wisconsin. We both wanted to wait until marriage before we had sex, so after dating for two years we got married in August of 1968. Although our great adventure together had started, we still had two years of college left. So in 1970, we both graduated with degrees in education and left the mid-west for sunny southern California.
Once there, we spent the next eight years in public education. In 1972, we had our first child, a beautiful baby girl we named Suzie. Five years later, we had our second child, a handsome boy we named Daniel. A year later, we left public education and went into Christian ministry.
Over the next thirteen years, we helped open a Christian school, started a Bible College, and pastored a church before coming to Oregon in the summer of 1991.
When we arrived, we settled in the beautiful town of Klamath Falls, nestled between mountains on all sides. During this stage of our lives, we felt we could accomplish more back in public education. So, we both took full time teaching jobs in the Klamath Basin and retired in 2012.
That's when I felt a stirring to begin writing novels about high school students. Even though I was attempting something I'd never done before, I found it very enjoyable. Now, after a great deal of reading, studying, countless re-writes, and never-ending checks of punctuation and grammar, I finally finished my first book with the help of my wife. I know it's not perfect, but I still hope you enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
