About the Author

Natasha Tate's romantic side has its roots in childhood. As an army brat and perennial new kid, she consumed a romance book a day, hiding them within her textbooks. This habit persisted into college, despite her more academic pursuits, equipping her with the know-how to tame her own alpha male hero. Now that she's married and an author for Harlequin, she lives her dream of crafting fairytale romances set in modern-day, larger-than-life settings. Visit her at www.NatashaTate.com.

London executive Stephen Whitefield was definitely not proud to be a Whitefield, especially now that his grandfather and cousin demanded he give up Colette Huntington a pastry chef who worked for their hotel, the Grand. Stephen had issues with his family and concerning the death of his mother. But he wasn't ready to give up Colette, not yet. However, what he didn't count on was her overhearing the argument he was having at the moment. What Stephen also didn't know was that Colette was carrying his child and was planning to runaway from him. They had agreed to a no fuss affair and when it was time they would both walk away with no regrets. That's exactly what Colette did, she returned home to New York to have her baby. She didn't want to trap a man because she knew what it was like to grow up with two parents who had gotten married because they were expecting a baby. She also knew that her father only married her mother because she was carrying his child, a child he didn't love. She was not going to have that for her daughter. When she was together with Stephen, he made it very clear that he didn't want marriage, love nor children. So, she believed she had definitely made the right choice and decision. Once Touched, Never Forgotten was a befitting title for this book because neither Stephen nor Colette would ever forget the passion and chemistry they both shared. So five years later when Stephen turned up and purchased the Renaissance Hotel Colette was working at as a chef . you can imagine the shock for both of them. However, there was going to be more of a shock when Stephen learned that Colette had a child, his child a little "princess" named Emma. Talk about a shock for him and heartache for the years he missed from his darling daughters life. He was furious and determined that he would marry the mother of his child and make them a family. Due to the lack of love during her childhood, Colette was determined to drag her feet and her answer was no. However, in the end she gave in for every one's sake because she knew she couldn't resist him, nor his advances and her heart broke because she realized she still loved him, would always love him. If you wanted to read a sweet romance, then Once Touched, Never Forgotten is definitely not for you. It's intensity stole my breath away. Colette never thought she had been good enough for Stephen` but all she wanted was for him to love her. Love was the only option for her but Stephen couldn't give it to her. He loved his daughter, he respected Colette but he couldn't love her. Reading all of this, about both of their pasts broke my heart. I kept cheering for them but too much of each of their pasts kept creeping up. However, like all good love stories, there has to be the good and the bad and somehow it took her crashing Stephen's grandfather's party for the light bulb to come on for him.` Because he realized he had actually needed her, his Colette! Once Touched, Never Forgotten was a simply fabulous romance, one I highly recommend. However, have the Kleenex ready!

The few ending chapters are great. The sex could be hotter, although. Really liked the story.

Reviewed By~Desere Review Copy Provided By~Author Colette and Stephen have the prefect relationship, no relationship at all except being bed partners. They have a mutual understanding that neither one will ever want more from the other than what they already have NO WEDDING BELLS and certainly not ever any children!! All goes well until Colette realizes she has lost her heart to this man and loves him like no other, but goes along with the relationship just to be with him, that is until she unexpectedly overhears a conversation where Stephen's family in no uncertain terms lay out the family rules, do not get involved with a gold digger - she will be your downfall. She also overhears Stephen saying he might be involved with her but he is not planning on marrying her, basically she is just the woman who warms his bed at night. Fast forward five years into the future and we find Colette working at the Renaissance in New York to make ends meet. She loves her job as pastry chef, but more than anything she loves her little girl Emma, her one and only true precious gift from Stephen, one he does not and she swears never will know about. But Stephan has other plans, after purchasing the establishment from Colette's boss he quickly discovers his new employee is the very same woman who dared to walk away from him before he had finished with her! But here we get to the interesting twist in the book. Colette's secret is revealed and the tables turn, she refuses to let him just waltz in and take over, she believes he will ruin Emma's life as how can a man who never wanted to be a father in the first place ever be one now. And so unfolds the tale of a forbidden relationship, unexpected pregnancy and untold family secrets that threaten to destroy the lives of Colette, Stephen and Emma. The book is certainly not your average romance. The book shows Colette as a strong independent I will take no nonsense heroine with Stephen on the other side being the only hero that can tempt her into surrender. I loved every second of the book, it has everything you can ask for from a romance novel, but interestingly after only a few sentences grabs your attention in such a compelling manner that I read it in one sitting and I was disappointed when the story ended. The book was so good that I got the feeling that I wanted to know more about the characters (not that the author does not give us more than enough to work with) but the story was so good that I would have liked it to keep going for one or two chapters longer. But I suppose that happens when a really excellent book comes ones way. The deep and dark family secrets also add for a very interesting twist, learning the truth reveals so much more and gives true insight into the characters and what their relationship needs to go up against to survive. This is the second book by the author Natasha Tate, she has a fresh and new way of taking a typical romance story and changing it into a dramatic read. She is definitely the author to look out for and I expect lots of fantastic new reads to come her desk.
