Everyone frets over second-grader Barry coloring everything in black. Is something wrong with him? The principal, teacher, school nurse, guidance counselor, and Barrys parents meet many times to figure out why Barry wants to color everything in blackflowers, winter scenes, valentine hearts, shamrock, and much more. Something must be terribly wrong with chubby Barry. It takes one little girl in class to get Barry to give the answer, and everyone is shocked. A lesson is learned by all.

About the Author
Dr. Gianni DeVincenti Hayes is an internationally recognized author, lecturer, and former talk radio show host. She is a published author of twenty-four books, hundreds of stories and articles, and cover stories in highly circulated publications. She was awarded Distinguished Alumni by her high school Hall of Fame and by her undergraduate alumni. She earned her PhD, Summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland College Park; her BS and MS are in research science and her second MSalso Summa cum laudeis in education and research. She was endowed to Middlebury Colleges Breadloaf program, to the University of Rochesters writers program for four summers, and to TI Christian University for her D.Min. Hayes has appeared on national radio and TV, such as The Learning Channel, Discovery, and PCN (Pennsylvania Cable Network). The University of Maryland Libraries set up an archive in her name. Besidees presenting around the US, shes traveled worldwide since 2002, speaking on such worldwide topics as current events, politics, culture, religion, the humanities, literature, and others. She served on various community boards and hosted regional TV/radio shows. Shes a former college department chair and professor and has taught research methodologies to mid-career doctoral students. She also is a hospital chaplain.
