Love or Duty? Prince Theo came to spend a month in Marietta Montana, his mothers home town, to physically meet his grandparents for the first time in his life. After his mother met his father, she never returned to her childhood hometown again before her death, he promised her he would go visit. His first morning there he literally collides with a spunkily feisty young lady walking 4 dogs. Once untangled, one of the dogs urinates on his foot. Rowan continues to make mistakes, even though she tries not to. Now she's on her last chance at the local newspaper and forced to write a small pet column instead of what she should be writing. While at her dog walking job, yet again things happen out of her control. All four dogs tangle themselves as well as her with Prince Theodore Chenery, DEFINITELY NOT the way she wanted to meet any royalties. Now Rowan is hoping for some Christmas miracle to come her way. Rowan and Theo form a strong friendship after their unusual meeting, and while she's interviewing him for the newspaper. Their connection is stronger than just friendship though, but Theo has obligations back home that he must return for. What will happen between Theo and Rowan? What will he choose love or duty? You'll have to read ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS to find out. I absolutely, thoroughly loved this story! I was hooked from page 1 and refused to put it down until I finished the entire book. This standalone story was my first Robin Bielman book, but it won't be my last. I want to read the story of how Rowan's brother Nick and her best friend Cassidy meet in FALLING FOR HER BACHELOR (Bachelor Auction Book#2) http://amzn.to/1U6h4Cp, which has connecting characters with this story. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! I received an ARC via IndieSage in exchange for an honest blog tour review. Reviewed by Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite Rowan Palotay desperately needs to get her journalism career back on the right track. One little mistake ruined her credibility, but now she is working at a small local paper in Marietta in order to correct the wrongs of the past and make it back on top of her field. Enter Prince Theodore Chenery, in town to meet his grandparents, when he stumbled upon Rowan and her dogs. Theirs was a really adorable meet, except Rowan found it immeasurably embarrassing and she hopes to rectify it. Robin Bielman’s Once Upon A Royal Romance was the perfect holiday romance. It was cute and fun, romantic, and just a really great time for a few hours. Prince Theo was just everything. He was handsome and funny and more than a little flirtatious, despite his staid, sometimes rigid demeanor. What I love most about what Robin Bielman did with this story was the conflict. There wasn’t much in terms of the attraction between Theo and Rowan, but their lives headed in totally different directions — he has a throne to ascend and a country to run, while she is a simple hometown girl trying to get her career back on track — which would make their romance pretty much impossible. While in so many ways this was a typical romance, there were a few hidden layers that took it deeper and made this Christmas gem a really fun read. Once Upon A Royal Christmas is the perfect read to keep a smile on your face and a stirring in your heart.

Rowan Palotay doesn't get the best first impression in when she meets Prince Theodore Chenery while walking dog in the park. However after Theo sees her with his grandmother he request for her to be the one to do an article on him for the local paper. Theo has never had someone to be so outspoken with him like rowan is which only seems to bring them closer together. Rowan, who has made many mistakes in her life and career, is determined to do her article by the books. Will she be able to finish her article with her integrity in tact? I loved this book. It was well written from beginning to end and definitely kept me interested. The main characters seemed likable and really made me want to root for them to get there happily ever after.

Well till the end I was loving this book. There was great chemistry between the two characters. They didn’t just jump into bed right away either. Which was awesome. But I want more of the relationship after they declared their feelings. I guess I really didn’t want it to end.

So the prince that attends the ball in the other two Marrietta set novels I read this season is the focus of this story. I enjoyed this story.

ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS is a perfect holiday romantic escape! What prince wouldn’t make a country girl a little restless? Those eyes, that mouth, the broad chest, were a royal combination unlike any other. He only held power over her if she let him, though. He brushed his teeth just like every other person. Put on his shoes one foot at a time. Prince Theo was just extraordinarily normal. And she could handle him and her story. Probably. Rowan Palotay, who was introduced in FALLING FOR HER BACHELOR, gets her very own happy ever after in ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS by Robin Bielman. Let me tell you. It was worth the wait because Robin hit ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS out of the ball-park! I laughed and cried. It actually kept me awake until four am on a day I had to make an early appearance at work. But… I honestly couldn’t sleep until I’d read every word. It was a teensy slow for me at the very beginning - and, in hindsight, that might have totally been on me - but, man, once the story grabbed me, it didn’t let go. Prince Theodore Chenery, our hero, has come to the small town of Marietta, Montana to meet his grandparents for the first time. His mother, who Theo adored, has recently passed away and Theo had promised her that he’d visit her hometown. Rowan and Theo first meet in a rollicking comedy of errors. Let’s just say that she made an unforgettable first impression. Theo is suitably impressed (!!!) and, much to Rowan’s surprise, insists that she be the reporter to write a story about him. This is the story of a girl meeting her Prince Charming only to find that he will always be out of reach. Rowan and Theo make such a great couple. Their personalities mesh perfectly and the chemistry between them is sizzling from the get-go. From the very beginning, they both know that their time together is limited. Theo is engaged to another and his responsibilities as heir to the throne preclude any long-term relationship… or do they? It was great catching up with Nick and Cassidy from FALLING FOR HER BACHELOR. However, the snake wars between Rowan and Nick are not something I want to participate in… ever. Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS: “How bad is it?” she asked. “Not bad.” “You always wince when it’s not bad.” Hawk chuckled. Theo scowled at him. “It’s a little overly sensitive because I broke it six months ago.” “I guess grace doesn’t come with the royal package,” she teased. “My royal package is better than anyone else’s. Trust me.” --- “Phew. I thought I was going to have to slay a few dragons for you while I was here.” “I’m no damsel in distress, Your Highness. I can take care of myself.” --- “Want to sleep over?” Robin Bielman is one of my very favorite authors. I know that I can count on her books to have the most unanticipated and scrumptious endings that are guaranteed to leave the reader with a happy heart. ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS is a perfect holiday romantic escape. I sure hope Robin returns to this idyllic little town with another wonderful lighthearted story soon. If you enjoy holiday romances with plenty of snow and snuggling, I highly recommend that you pick up ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS soon! My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. This is a sweet and sexy romance set in Marietta, Montana - a familiar location for fans of the Tule romance books that often feature this setting. This time the hero Theo isn't a local boy but rather a royal Prince, whose mother came from Marietta. She's passed away and he's come to the small town to meet his grandparents, ones that his mother was estranged from for an assortment of reasons after she married his father the King. His grandparents welcome him with open arms, and he quickly finds another reason to be enamoured with the small town - a beautiful and vivacious reporter, Rowan. Tasked with interviewing him for their local paper, Rowan is trying to make up for some past mistakes that damaged her reputation as a serious journalist and a profile of the prince will do nicely to improve her standing at the paper. Though she enjoys her writing, she also spends a lot of time painting, a hobby that she secretly wishes could turn into more. When Theo and Rowan meet, he's practically engaged to a princess in a neighbouring state, an arranged marriage more to suit their families than because either of them really wish it. This cautions Rowan that while she enjoys spending time with Theo and showing him around their town, she can't afford to get in too deep. The resulting story is fairly predictable, with Rowan and Theo eventually giving into the attraction between them (but not before his sort-of relationship back home is settled, leaving him free to pursue Rowan so there is no cheating in the story). Still, he's royalty and she isn't, so having a real relationship and not just a vacation fling is not going to be easy. I liked the way the story progressed, the scenes with their families and friends, and the way their friendship turns into a sweet romance, with some sexy scenes later on in the story. It's an entertaining, lighthearted tale and a lovely Christmas read with a happy ending. 3.5 stars.

Brilliant royal festive read! Prince Theodore Chenery of Montanique has come to stay in his Mother's home town to spend a month visiting his grandparents and the area after her tragic death. His Mum had never returned after her marriage, but he has been brought up hearing all about the small town, the people and places his Mum had remembered so fondly. His visit is a personal one and he's taken over the local B&B, Bramble House, for him and his bodyguard, Hawk, for the duration of his stay. Rowan Palotay is an aspiring news reporter, though her latest gaffe has sidelined her to the pets column. She really wishes she could have been the local reporter following the Prince's visit but accepts that won't happen. She's out dog walking when the dogs decide to drag her to meet the unsuspecting Prince! That's the start of their encounters and a really enjoyable Royal romance. I've loved books by this author in the past and this is another superb read with laugh out loud moments, great characters, a brilliant plot, angst as well as twists and turns galore. I haven't read any of the Tule Montana books for a while - but I'm so glad I have started doing so again as I thoroughly enjoyed doing so! It is great to visit so many places I remember from earlier stories. There are actually a series of festive reads all based around the same town, places, people and events ...... Get ready to visit Marietta's Christmas Stroll and the Ball in all the stories! I've been lucky enough to read several of them and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this and the other books in the series to anyone looking for a lovely festive romance with great stories involving many common characters and events but each written by a different, talented author focusing on a different couple. I was gifted an ARC of this novel via NetGalley with no obligation or requirement to review it. This is my honest review after reading the ARC.

Rowan Palotay needs to get her career as a reporter back on track. She made one mistake and it had cost her her credibility. Now she's writing a small column for the local newspaper. As luck would have it, she meets Prince Theodore Chenery. He's in Marietta to meet his maternal grandparents. He's charming and kind as well as sexy. Their first meeting is memorable as her dogs tangle them in leashes. He's attracted and wants her to interview him. Where will this chance encounter lead? Rowan is feisty and funny. She treats him as a friend not a royal. Prince Theo likes that. Their banter is playful and humorous. Their chemistry is off the charts. I liked the Prince. He doesn't put on airs and he's truly a good person. Mariette is perfect as the setting for this passionate romance. The people who live here are friendly and accept Prince Theo. This story with its romantic Ball put me in the holiday spirit. I fell in love with this charming story. I liked Rowan and Theo. I wanted them to get their HEA. Robin Bielman did a great job. Their story was both touching and romantic.

This was a fun holiday story. Rowan is a journalist writing for the local paper, and trying to redeem her image. Theo is a prince who is in town to meet his maternal grandparents for the first time and see where his mother grew up. I really admired how hard Rowan worked to keep their relationship strictly professional - until the column she was writing about Theo was done anyway, and his engagement to someone else was called off. Theo and Rowan both had such sweet and fun personalities. I wish I could hang out with them in real life. They just seemed so real and likable.

A cute and sexy story! Once Upon a Royal Christmas had a slow start--it took me a bit to warm up to the characters--but soon I just didn't want to put it down. It's a holiday story-slash-Cinderella story, so chances were good that I was going to like it in the end. Fortunately, Ms. Bielman did not disappoint. Rowan and Theo are adorable together, and I appreciated that they took the time to get to know each other before jumping into anything. (Plus, Theo was almost-engaged at the beginning, so it would have been doubly wrong to do otherwise.) Overall, things did move pretty fast in this one--not quite instalove, but kind of close--but it didn't feel too fast, which makes a difference. By the time we get to epilogues #1 and 2, I was completely invested in their romance :) Once is loosely related to Bielman's story in the Bachelor Auction series, Falling for Her Bachelor --Rowan is both Nick's sister and Cassidy's BFF. I've somehow missed reading that one, (how did this happen? No idea) but no worries, this one worked just fine on its own. Though of course my TBR has just grown...again.... ;) Rating: 4 stars / B+ I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Robin Bielman takes readers back to Marietta for Christmas and introduces them to a prince and re-introduces them to a woman who are each at a crossroad in their lives. Prince Theodore Chenery of Montanique has arrived in Marietta, Montana for the first time. He’s there to visit with his grandparents, whom he’s never met and fulfill a dying wish of his mother. Rowan Palotay is trying to bide her time and make a comeback as a reporter after being disgraced by a story. The two meet on a crisp winter morning, while they’re both out walking. Awe. Such a perfect setup and so romantic. Until one of the dogs Rowan is walking pees on the prince. Yeah, Robin has managed to put laughter into a book that at times is a little heart tugging. Robin has once again proven to have the midas touch, with the ability to write a story that transports readers into the pages of the book. All the characters, main and secondary, are down to Earth, fun, and relatable. Once Upon a Royal Christmas combines humor, love, loss, family, and self discovery to make a magical fairy tale. **I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed.**

Rowan was doing her part time job of dog walking four larger type dogs when she Spotted Prince Theodore Chenery but the dogs had spotted him also. Prince Theo was in Marietta to see his mother’s hometown and meet his grandparents for the very first time. The dogs had twisted all around o stop Rowan from falling on her butt. She did untangle the dogs and sincerely apologized to the Prince. The stepped from a car and greeted Prince Theo. Several months ago Rowan had been given an assignment that should have set her career but she had forgotten to say she was a reporter BIG MISTAKE now she still had a job with the newspaper with a small column called The Pet Corner. Rowan considered herself a work in process but she needed to make things right and get everyone’s respect back. One of the dogs urinated on the prince’s leg and shoe and Rowan promised to return and get them cleaned. Theo was intrigues with Rowan but when he returned home his father would be announcing Theo’s engagement To Elizabeth who was a friend but neither was romantic about the other. His older brother Otis and his wife could not have children so it was left to Theo to produce and heir. Theo went to see his grandparents and saw Rowan there and learned she lived in the cottage that had been his mother’s right down the drive from his grandparents. Theo’s grandparents clearly cared about Rowan and had known her most of her life. Theo’s grandparents were sweet people who had loved their daughter and was very happy to have Prince Theo there with them. Rowan was called into Emmaline’s office and told the Prince wanted Rowan to interview him. This was Rowan's chance to make things right if only Rowan could keep things professional and not about more personal things with the Prince. I really loved this story. I loved how Otis wanted his younger brother to be happy and stand up to his dad if he really cared for Rowan and to marry for love like Otis had been able to. I was happy when Elizabeth called and said she loved another and maybe pregnant. I also loved how Rowan’s parents stood completely by her when she wanted to follow her passion and go for art. I also loved how Rowan loved painting a mural for the sick kids and wanted it perfect to cheer them up and wanted to go to more hospitals where kids were and do more murals. This was just all around a good read. I loved the plots, the characters, and the ins and outs of the story and I highly recommend.

"Once Upon A Royal Christmas" by Robin Bielman is a heartfelt romance. This is Rowan Palotay and Prince Theodore Chenery's story. Rowan, news reporter, has been demoted to the pet column due to a previous incident. She is having a hard time in her professional life and in her personal life. It's Christmas time so will this be a time of magic for Rowan? After his mother's death Prince Theodore Chenery decides to go to Marietta to meet his mother's parents for the first time. This visit is an emotional visit for Prince Theodore. He has agreed that when he gets back that his father can announce his arranged marriage. Prince Theodore always thought he would have a marriage like his mother and father but he will do whatever he needs to do for his country. When Rowan and Prince Theodore first met lets just say that it didn't go very well. As time goes on Rowan and Prince Theodore end up spending lots of time together. The couple is drawn to one another and the chemistry between them may be more than they can ignore. This is a sweet, romantic, and heartwarming story of two people who seem made for each other. But, Prince Chenery has a commitment to his country and Rowan is in the process of redeeming her professional career so will these two be able to find their happily ever after? FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Loved, loved, loved this magical Christmas story. Perfect read to get you in the Christmas mood. Rowan is kind of at a crossroads. She thought she would be a reporter however, after a mistake she got bumped down to writing a tiny article about pets. While walking some dogs for extra money she gets wrapped up with a sexy, tall, handsome man, literally! Sit back and enjoy the ride through Marietta at Christmastime when magic is in the air. I received an advanced copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

Loved this sweet heartwarming Christmas romance. Finding love when you least expect, and to top it off to a prince. Rowan is a little ditzy, who has been demoted on her reporter job to dog walking, when she gets tangled up with Prince Theo with the dog leaches. Prince Theo is in Marietta visiting his mother's parents. There is an instant attraction between the two, but now they need to figure out how to over come the obstacles in life. A fun book that you will not want to put down. I highly recommend this book be part of your holiday reading.

How does one recover from literally running into a prince while dog walking? Rowan Palotay never expected meeting Prince Theo Chenery in this manner. Her life hasn’t quite gone as she planned lately. One minor mistake has her demoted to writing a small pet column in the Marietta newspaper. Rowan can’t figure out how she got on the naughty list nor how to get off. Christmas is supposed to be a time for joy and magic. Rowan is definitely not feeling it, at least until she is given the assignment of writing an article about the visiting prince. Prince Theodore Chenery, Theo, is visiting Marietta shortly after the death of his mother, the Queen. He needed to explore his mother’s past life, growing up in Marietta, and getting to know his grandparents, who he never knew. The accidental run-in with Rowan leads him to an unexpected friendship with this lively girl who is unlike anyone he’s met before. Her kindness and honesty makes is difficult to remember his obligations back home. Once their relationship makes worldwide news, Theo must decide whether to follow his heart or his royal duty. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I highly recommend this book to other readers. Prince Theodore Chenery was exotic, sexy and smelled really good according to Rowan Palotay. In my opinion it was Rowan's quirky, witty, "all out there and I won't apologize for it" attitude that was the star of this book. Rowan Palotay is a "take care of everyone else before yourself" type of person. She's great! Falling for a Prince that has an arranged marriage far away on some Mediterranean island is not in her future plans. Great story! I love the part of the story line that actually brought Theo to Montana. It gives this lighthearted Romance a little more emotional depth. This author has a fantastic writing style that always leaves you with a smile on your face at the end. I can't wait to see what's next!

Prince Theodore Chenery comes to Marietta, Montana to meet his Grandparent for Christmas after his mother passes away. He meets Rowan who fascinates him and tells her editor she is the reporter to give his story to. As Rowan takes him around Marietta where his mother grew up, she completes the interview and captures his heart. Problem comes in that his father , the King, has already set up an arranged engagement from when Theo returns home. Enjoyed the journey back to Marietta to see more of the town's residents. Find a comfy chair and settle into this small town Christmas story . Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are my own.

I freaking loved this book. I was in tears sympathizing with Theo from the very start and totally loved him from that point on. The way his mom passed is how my mom passed as well and just hit all my heartstrings. But his deep devotion to carrying out her wishes and being so family oriented, yeah, this book got me. I simply adored Rowan. She spoke whatever came to her mind regardless of who she was talking to. She was hilarious. But she was much more than that too. Both Theo and Rowan were normal everyday people who cared for others and loved doing it. There were no pretenses or selfish ways anywhere. This story is truly a feel good read that you don't want to put down, that you end the reading with a warm huge heart, and a sadness that it is over. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

The prince and the country girl. They were destined to be together. Rowan Palotay was barely able to make ends meet. After her professional reputation was ruined, her newspaper assignment was changed to writing the Pet Corner in The Copper Mountain Courier. To supplement her income, she took on the job of a dog walker. One morning while out with the dogs, she comes face to face with Prince Theodore Chenery who was in town to meet his grandparents for the first time. It was not the introduction that Rowan wished to have when one of the dogs wrapped its leash around both of their legs and almost tripped them. To top it off, one decides to pee on the Prince's leg. How is that for a first impression? After his mother's death, Theo decided to spend Christmas in Marietta with his grandparents and see the town where his mother grew up. He had always been told stories about the place and he wanted to see it through his own eyes. When it came time to return to Montanique, his father was to announce his engagement. It was an arranged marriage, but Theo was willing to do it for his father and his country. That was until he got to know Rowan. Now he is second guessing his plans. Rowan and Theo knew there was a line that shouldn't be crossed when it came to their attraction to each other. But it might be a little easier said than done, once they really get to know each other. They are prefect for each other in every way. This was a fun book to read. While Rowan and Theo were getting to know each other there are some funny and very memorable moments. One of my favorite moments (beside the dog pee scene) was when they were at Rowan's house singing and dancing to the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack. It showed the playful side of both characters. Both were very caring and willing to do anything for other people too. The story was well written and kept my interest all the way through. This is what a Christmas story is all about! Robin writes characters that seem so real, I feel guilty as if I am eavesdropping on Rowan and Prince Theo's private conversations and intruding on the day-to-day interactions between them. What a beautiful story though; there was everything I've come to expect in Robin's writing. She included sweetness, spice, tenderness, thoughfulness and a liberal dose of humor. And, of course, I always appreciate the happy ending I know I will get with Robin's books. As a side note, I thought I was the only person who eats her Eggo waffles the way Rowan likes them.
