I loved this book! It was so refreshing to have a story about a rock star that hasn’t and wasn’t jumping on a any woman that stopped moving. Miller didn’t drink and drug himself stupid either. It is a hot yet sweet story that you will love!

After reading the first book in the Heartbreakers Series and loving it, I was super excited to get my hands on Miles and Ally's story. And though it started a little bit slow for me, with every single page, I was getting more and more invested. Ultimately, this is a sweet friends to lovers rom-com with a pinch of hotness :) Miles and Ally are two great characters and I fell in love with them from the first book in the series. Initially, I felt that the story was going kind of slow but when they started singing together, things got completely different. Their interactions were sizzling hot but at the same time sweet and romantic. I really enjoyed seeing how they were finally realizing their feelings and struggling with the idea of change and how that would affect their friendship. In a few words, this is a somewhat short rom-com, that will make laugh and swoon and every now and then make you feel super HOT. Because Miles might be easygoing and a lot of fun, but let me tell you, he has such a dirty mouth for the right person :D I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh man the chemistry these two have is off the charts. Both have been each others best friends for years denying the feelings they have but a wrench gets thrown into the mix when it becomes too much. The temptation is strong but will they be able to find happiness? Will they risk their friendship? Miller has always been there for Aly the same as she has been for him. The bond they have is strong but he only sees her as the girl who sings with her brother. She wants him to see beneath all that to what she can really do but will he be open to the change? This series has been addicting and I can't get enough of these brothers. I highly recommend this book along with the first. I can't wait for the next!!

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...I love these heartbreakers..So this is Millers story, he was a part of the trio Heartbreakers and due to a tragic loss years ago the group broke up but it has always stayed in his heart, so as his life goes on it has a giant whole in it something is missing. Campbell his older brother encourages him to start singing again, but this time with a woman and start a duet, he thinks that that may be the answer since he loves singing so much, but now he has to find the other half. Enter Ally, she is Miller's best friend has been for years and even though they are both attracted to each other they do not want to mess that up, Ally is a singer but for some reason they sound horrible together but she was a little jealous thinking of him singing with another woman and so she concocts a plan..These two were great together not only singing but with their relationship....Hot my friends and it was great reading of the previous characters who play a good amount of time in this book..Now we need Miles story!!!. enjoy!

I had the honor of getting to read this early and it was such a fun ride! There's nothing quite like a friends to lovers romance mixed in with some rockstar vibes and Lauren Blakely is known to do both super well. Miller and Ally had me hooked from the get go. I can't wait to finish out this series!

I'm a sucker for a goods friends-to-lovers romance. There's just something about the idea of a friendship where the other friend is more than a friend - they are your "person." Ally and Miller definitely embody that. It's not just that they've been best friends for the last six years. What they have transcends friendship. When Ally's sister died and Ally took custody of her niece, Chloe, that would have sent most guys running for the hills. Fortunately, Miller isn't "most guys." He definitely inherited the Evans (Hart) good-guy gene, and not just because he's a good guy, but because it would never occur to him to do anything else. Once Upon a Sure Thing was a thoroughly enjoyable we-really-shouldn't, well-maybe-just once story with a happy ending. And, how I LOVE those happy endings!

Still swooning here! Well hellooooooo Miller Hart! What a lighthearted, fun read! Once Upon a Sure Thing is the second book in the Heartbreakers series and it is middle brother Miller's story. It is a friends-to-lovers book that is well-written and utterly charming. There are times when what you subconsciously seek is something that has been there all along. Right in front of your face. Ally and Miller have been best friends for six years. They have been there for each other through thick and thin. An attraction has always been present, but pushed to the side by both of them in favor of the closeness they cherished as friends. Until more intimate feelings become impossible to ignore. Enter smoking hot sexy times. Let's just say.... making music isn't all a piano is good for. I devoured this book in a day and looking forward to youngest brother, Miles, story coming out soon. Heartbreakers is a series of stand-alones about 3 brothers and once again Lauren Blakely has shown why she is the queen of romantic comedy with this best friends to lovers funny romance. This series has characters you will fall in love with, you will laugh with them and you will feel their pain because as always these guys are easy to connect with. Miller is easy to swoon over he has a sense of humour a dirty mouth and he loves music and it’s his love of music that has him looking for a girl to sing with what he doesn’t expect is for his perfect singing partner to be his best friend Ally under the alias of Honey Lavender one hot song has sparks flying, the chemistry is sizzling and the witty banter adds the perfect amount of humour to this book that I couldn’t put down it’s fast paced yet the romance is a slow burn with two friends juggling the should we or shan’t we take our feelings to the next level and what can I say about Miller and his dirty mouth apart from this author has hit the nail on the head with Miller and Ally’s romance but it’s not just about them who can forget the adorable little girl that Ally is responsible for because she has some classic one liners that you won’t forget, just when you think you have read the best from this very talented author bam she hits us with another set of characters we will fall in love with and now we are left waiting for a few more weeks to see where we are going to be taken with Miles and Ben’s story and I for one can’t wait for that one.

This book series is very enjoyable, Miller and Ally have known each other, they depend and support each other, but when things change their chemistry and sexual tension gets in the way of their friendship. Friends to lovers story that you must read.

Oh my, I love Miller, the middle brother of the Hart siblings, he is like rainbows and sunshine with his positive attitude and fun loving nature. I completely fell head over heels for him, not many things get Miller down, however, the break up of the band he had with his brothers has left a huge gap in his life. He has attempted to create a new direction but ultimately his heart and soul belong to the music he created with his family. Only Campbell (Once Upon a Real Good Time) doesn't want the rockstar lifestyle to affect his life in the way it had in the past. Taking Campbell's advice, Miller begins searching for a female singer to duet with. Miller and Ally have been best friends for a long time, seeing each other through the ups and downs life has thrown them, always sticking by each other. Despite their initial attraction to each other, Ally firmly friend-zoned them because her own insecurities took hold making her believe she wouldn't be enough for Miller. Ally is a vocal artist and singer in her own right, although her usual vocal style is completely different to Miller's. Needing to find an extra source of income, Ally adopts an alter ego to duet with Miller. The alter ego allows both Miller and Ally to unleash the passion that has always been simmering below their friendship. I loved how the usual barriers and pitfalls of falling for your best friend were turned on their head in Once Upon a Sure Thing with Ally having the barriers to accepting a relationship with Miller rather than just a fling. Her epiphany was a joy to watch unfold. The inclusion of the other brothers and the continuation of MacKenzie and Cambell's story from Once Upon a Real Good Time added to the overall depth and enjoyment of the story. While Lauren has also paved the way for Miles' story in Once Upon A Wild Fling. I have to mention the children Lauren has featured in the Heartbreakers series are seriously awesome, I like to think my children have some of these traits (although not the musical prodigy or baking sensation unfortunately, lol)

Aww... what a super cute read! These Heartbreaker men are adorable! Miller and Ally had such a fun friends-to-lovers-story. Miller has a laid back, easy going personality, but when things became intimate, he was intense and super sexy! Lauren Blakely sure knows how to write some HOT scenes! In the end, I was glad to see everything work out for Ally. That ending with Chloe, brought tears to my eyes. This was such a great read! If you are looking for a light, read-in-one-sitting, sweet and fun love story (with some serious heat), look no further! Once Upon A Sure Thing is the perfect book for you! ♥ Review by Lys

Lately Lauren Blakely has become one of my go-to romance author, she knows how to deliver a great story and Once Upon a Sure Thing did not disappoint at all. This friends-to-lovers story is swoon worthy from beginning to end. Ever since they met six years ago, Ally has been Miller’s best friend and closest ally. They have been through so much together in their personal lives that they know to rely on each other no matter what. But if there is one thing that Miller wants the most at the moment is to sing in front of an audience again. After being part of the Heartbreakers, the band that he was in with his two brothers, Miller yearns to sing again ever since the group separated. His two brothers have their own lives and he decides to do things differently. That’s when the idea of finding a woman to sing with him sparks and he starts to receive audition tapes from a lot of interested women. But there is one that speaks to him and knows right away that he has to meet her soon. Little did he know that his life was about to change forever. Ally Zimmerman has narrated all sorts of young adult novels, but her dream is to get out of the genre and try a bit of romance instead. But the opportunity hasn’t presented herself and she needs another way to get a more of money in order to take care for her niece, Chloe. When Miller tells her about riding a woman to sing with him she is instantly jealous. She wants to be the one singing with him and she decides to do something radical. She is going to send her own audition tape and create a whole new persona for herself in hopes of getting Miller to notice her. But she is shocked when Miller asks her to meet him, now she has to face him and hope that everything goes according to plan. Yet their chemistry is magnetic and neither of them expected to be so good together. Now she has to figure out a way to make things work without hurting each other in the end. I really enjoyed reading this story, it was sweet and charming. Miller is not only talented, but he is also a good friend to Ally. He understands her and knows that she needs the gig in order to get more money. But it’s tough to be a bandmate and maintain their friendship intact. But when their relationship crosses the line, he’ll have to convince her that they can truly work out before it’s too late. On the other hand, Ally is caring and a talented singer. At the beginning Miller doesn’t truly see her talent until she sends her audition tape. She cares for him so much, but when they start to spend more time together things start to heat up and she doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t want to lose her friend, but there are still things that they have to work on in order to truly be together. The beginning started a bit differently for me, it was a bit slow but it picked up really fast. It was nice seeing Ally’s relationship with Miller’s family and vise versa. It’s evident how much they value each other as friends, but as they start something new together, they start to realize just how much in love they might be with each other. All in all, the story was swoon worthy and definitely worth picking up. I personally loved the ending, it really tied everything together really well. I cannot wait to read what happens in the next book! :) ***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.***

A couple of friends. Best friends. Singing together sexy songs wich talking about love. What could go wrong? After the end of the band Heartbreakers, Miller has not yet found his place in the world. His younger brother Miles is in a successful solo career, while his older brother Campbell is happy with his teaching career and his performances at a local bar. So Miller decides to take the advice of his older brother and try something new: a duet with a female voice. After forming numerous new bands without success, having even lost a friend in college and experienced the feeling of seeing his belongings hurled by the ex-girlfriend / drummer in the middle of the street, he decides that the best in this new endeavor is not to mix business with pleasure. Or with friendship. Ally had a YouTube channel singing with her brother and earned enough access to supplement her income as a voice actor. With the move of Kirby to Boston, she will need a new source of income. And the duet with Miller can provide the money she needs, except that apparently their voices do not match and Miller does not want to risk losing an irreplaceable person. After all, he can buy a new Xbox, but not a new best friend. In this narrative Miller and Ally gradually become aware of the possibilities that the other part offers when contemplating it from other angles. And by discovering the new talents of each other, new feelings can arise. Or were they old feelings? And the doubt: what to do when career, friendship and feelings seem to collide? What to do when the lines got blurred? A book with great development, good characters and funny moments. A cliche with an end full of tenderness and good unexpected surprises.

Once Upon a Sure Thing by Lauren Blakely is book two in the Heartbreakers series. Focusing on Miller Hart and his best friend Ally Zimmerman. In book one, Once Upon a Real Thing, Miller's brother Campbell suggested Miller start a new duo but with a woman like Ally who has a great voice. Miller is reluctant especially because he doesn't want to loose his friendship with Ally and the fact that they clashed singing-wise during karaoke and parties. However, when Ally surprises him by secretly auditioning in disguise, Miller has a change of heart. Soon, Hot Stuff or #ZimmerHart is born. And then the story really kicks off and gets hot. I really liked this best-friends to lovers novel. Filled with the characters from book one and continuing in this novel, we get to not only see the blooming romance of the main couple, Miller and Ally, but we also see the strong relationships of the Hart brothers and how they support each other. Lauren Blakely always does a wonderful job of creating a romance filled with humor, heart, and endearing characters that you enjoy reading about. Once Upon a Sure Thing is no exception. Overall, Once Upon a Sure Thing by Lauren Blakely is a must read and I happily recommend. I can't wait to read Miles and Roxy's story. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

Another amazingly sweet Rocker romance! This isn't your normal, hard rocking, hard playing dirty rocker book. The brothers of Heartbreakers are a dream come true! Miller is lonely. His brothers have moved on with his life, and his heart wants to hold on to what they've let go. Their band broke up years ago, and he just can't seem to move past it. But his brother has an idea about how he can move his life to the next step. He has decided to form a new band, with a female singing partner. Too bad his best friend isn't the one for the job. Ally has a full life. She is raising her niece, being the voice for audio books, but she still wants more. She thinks that the more she wants is to sing with Miller. Too bad he doesn't think she has the voice for what he needs. This book is full of surprises, laughs, and family. Miller and Ally are best friends, and then they are more. I love them together, and their connection is combustible! Add in an amazing, surprising ending, and this book becomes a gotta have it, must read for anyone!

4☆ I adore friends to lovers romance and this one was so cute! I love the natural chemistry Miller and Ally have. They have this effortlessness to their friendship and blend so well. I feel like them becoming more just felt right. I did like the build up to it and really love them singing together and how that went so smoothly for them. They were friends for so long and couldn't even see what was right in front of them, but man when they found it, it ignited! I loved this sexy side of Miller that suddenly came out will Ally and I loved it, seems to run in this family! They make sense as friends, lovers and a family. Miller is already so involved with Chloe it isn't much of leap for him to be there for her too. I absolutely loved the last few chapters and the fun surprises! Now I really can't wait for Miles book!!

Welp, just another Lauren Blakely book that had me falling head over heels in love. The second book in the Heartbreakers series is so sweet and sexy. I know that if I ever need a pick me up I should look no further than Once Upon a Sure Thing. Seriously, the happy feels I got while reading and after finishing this book is all I ever want to feel. Ally and Miller have insane chemistry! I was so completely enamored with their relationship from the very first interaction. No one writes a friends to lovers quite as well as Lauren Blakely. Their fun and flirty banter was everything!! Quick and addicting, I never wanted it to end. Even before they gave into their desires, it felt like Ally and Miller were meant to be. I am a total fangirl for Hashtag ZimmerHart/ Other Uses for Ribbons/ Hot Stuff. I am obsessed with Miller's happy deposition. He's such a good and joyful guy. You can't help but smile when he appears on the page. Whether he's boat racing with his "little brother" Jackson, singing carols with his brothers, or having skittles taste test with a clerk at the Office of Public Records, Miller Hart was melting my heart into a puddle of love and lust. I feel like Lauren has really upped her game when it comes to the sex scenes. HOLY HOTNESS!! I feel like a standing ovation is necessary here. Any book that can cause an audible, prolonged curse word to escape my mouth deserves all the praise. Ribbons and pianos y'all. Ribbons and pianos!! Phew, I need to fan myself just thinking about it. Lauren Blakely is knocking it out of the park with this series. I looooove Once Upon a Real Good Time and Once Upon a Sure Thing. I can't wait until we get Miles story. Swoon. Three sexy musician brothers. Does it get any better?

Once Upon A Sure Thing is another spectacular book from Lauren Blakely. We first meet Miller and Ally in Once Upon A Real Good Time. Miller and Ally are best friends. They are connected by their love of video games, bananagrams, and music. This book is fun, flirty, and sexy. Miller and Ally find themselves wanting to explore more than just their amazing friendship. You must read this friend to lovers romance to find out what happens if they cross that line. 5 fantastic stars!!

I really loved this one! Best friends to lovers isn’t usually my favorite trope, but I just adored Ally and I also really liked Miller. I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion. So I wasn’t 100% sure about Miller at first, because he was kind of like a big kid, but he was such a sweetheart, and a great friend/brother. Ally was also a sweetheart, and what she has done for Chloe was amazing. It made me love her even more. The banter, and eventually the chemistry, between these two was so entertaining to read. I loved seeing characters from the previous book (Campbell, Samantha, Mackenzie, Roxy, etc.). And I’ve got to say, I can’t wait to get my hands on the last book in this trilogy…although I’ll be sad once I’m done reading about these characters. The books are a delight, and such easy reads. You could definitely read each in one sitting if you wanted to, and had the time. The epilogues were super cute, and the thing that happened towards the end of the book made me super excited to see what happens next musically for the brothers. I’ve loved Campbell, and Miller, so I can’t wait to see how much I love Miles! I highly recommend you go and read these books, because they’ll make you smile and swoon.

I adored Miller and Ally, as a couple and as individuals. They shared close-knit relationships with their respective siblings and nieces and nephews, with Ally taking things a step further since she was now more of a parent than an aunt to Chloe. I also loved where Lauren Blakely took their story. Seriously, she could have taken the easy route, and it would have probably turned out well and quite enjoyable, but the fact that Blakely decided to really make this stand out with her creativity and originality made for a far better and more memorable read overall. We also see where Campbell and Mackenzie are in their relationship while glimpsing bits of where youngest brother Miles may be headed with Roxy Sterling (totally not a spoiler since their blurb is available for perusing online!). Once Upon a Sure Thing is, corny as it may sound, a sure thing, and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly encourage you to read this series in order. Five-plus stars! ♥

Miller and Ally, the main couple, make beautiful music together, in and out of the recording studio. Their full history these past six years gets revealed, as they both eventually get over the knucklehead notion falling for one another and letting that love come to life will likely result in the death of their friendship. That is the main gist of this storyline, folks, and nothing else majorly happens. So if you want a sure bet on an uncomplicated, friends to lovers, smexy read without a lot of heavy baggage or interference, well, here you go. No one around them seemed surprised with the turn of events that played out here. In fact, everyone but these two knucklehead love birds saw it coming. It was sweet how Miller has been there for Alley and the niece she was raising as her own. The back and forth banter felt comfortable, as they finally let go of their unfounded concerns and let love and fate take over. Title: Once Upon a Sure Thing, Series: The Heartbreakers (Book 2), Author: Lauren Blakely, Pages: 306, stand-alone but part of a series, friends to lovers singing duo romantic tale, very steamy scenes with lusty language, HEA. Miller + Ally= The Sweetest Thing! If you thought Campbell and MacKenzie were sweet and cute and totally realistic in Once Upon A Real Good Time, the first book in the 'Heartbreakers' series, then you'll be blown away to find out that Miller and Ally are even more so in Once Upon a Sure Thing, the second book of this 3 parter series. Ally and Miller have known each other for over six years and all that time each has harbored deep, lustful feelings for the other, but neither let the other know. Ally needed all the friends she could get back then and she knew that Miller wasn't a guy that wanted to settle down. She chose friendship over a one night stand. Now, she's the guardian of her sister's child and doing her utmost to give Chloe the best life she can have. When the chance arises to sing in a duo with Miller, she jumps at it, but she knows Miller will take some convincing as they've sung before and haven't exactly gelled. So, she decides to apply under a pseudonym and with the help of some friends she blows him away with her stunning voice and equally stunning looks. Honey Lavender is just what Miller was looking for in a singing partner, he's having the time of his life during their set, but as soon as he meets her eyes, he knows exactly who Honey is. How did he not years ago see what he was seeing now? This is the girl to make music with. Miller doesn't know what to do with the attraction he feels, it's so spontaneous and sparked between them the second he touched Ally. They set the sound booth on fire and now that they've started, can they go back to what they once were. Just friends... or can they really have it all. Love, life and music. I didn't think this series could get any better, but I was wrong, soo, so wrong. Miller is such a great guy, all he wants is to make Ally and her niece Chloe happy and to sing. Anytime, anywhere and with however wants to get down a jam a tune with him. But, he has one true desire and Ally knows what it is. Giving him what he's been longing for was one of the best parts of the scorching hot, sweet and sexy story. Lauren really knows how to write families and I just adored these ones. the Harts, the Zimmermans and their friends. Just simply the best yet!!! Can't wait for Miles and Roxy's book, but thankfully it'll be here in just a couple of weeks.
