Finn Taylor is an asshole. So why does he keep showing up in Mac's late-night fantasies as the Dom of her dreams? She can't even ignore him, because she's stuck working with the fellow musician for the Christmas concert season.

Mac Wallis is a mess, and Finn can't fall for a submissive who's so damaged she needs medication just to get through a performance. But he's drawn to the beautiful oboist, even as he keeps pissing her off. He can't resist trying to take care of her--in every way.

Found this author from the anthology, "Romancing the Alpha 2". Liked her story "Her Wild Dom" so looked up some other books. Found her series Dominant Cord, don't usually like the stories about musicians cause they're usually about rock stars, these guys are classical players and are they wonderful! Great Doms, great women, great other people and interesting funny stories. There are three books so far and all are worth the time. They are not long reads.

Serious subject, that is handled with senseativity and humor. Love all three characters and will be looking for more to read by this author. BDSM very mild in this book.

I really loved this book, the only drawback was that it was too short!  The characters were believable and fully developed.  I was very relieved to find that their pasts were able to be described without wallowing in it.  I enjoyed how the writing of their histories was done  and didn't feel weighted down but informed as to what got them to this point.  Both of the characters were damaged in the past but they didn't give up hope of having a future, then when they met and came together it was heartwarming.  Their romance and connection was soft, sweet and heartwarming.  I liked how they didn't and Finn's patience was just as phenomenal as Mac's bravery.

Okay for a very quick read. Normally that kind of reprogramming would take months, not weeks, but it is a free book, and the plot is bigger than a quick read. It is understandable that the time frame would have to move along in a 3 hr read.

This story was not what I thought it would it be. The romance is there but the story line is a little dark. The is a HEA. I will definitely read the next book.

this was a good book and I enjoyed it. It had a nice pace at the beginning and then went a little faster than I would have liked, it seemed a bit rushed. would recommend and can't wait to read the next book!
