One Minute Journaling by Joanna Campbell Slan

On any scrapbook page, the pictures really only tell half the story--a short but expressive journal entry or caption is just as important for capturing a special memory. Scrapbookers know this and are constantly looking for ways to make it easier and less time consuming. Popular scrapbook columnist Joanna Campbell Slan shows how to capture stories as they're happening using simple one-minute journaling methods. She then shows how to get those stories onto album pages with a minimum of fuss and effort. For crafters who don't like their own handwriting, Slan illustrates several creative solutions using computer type, lettering templates, stencils and rubber stamps. Joanna Campbell Slan is a regular columnist for Creating Keepsakes and Personal Journaling magazines. Her stories in the bestsellers Chicken Soup for the Soul and Chocolate for the Woman's Soul have inspired more than five million people.

I've been a Joanna Campbell Slan fan for a couple of years now since I purchased 'Scrapbook Storytelling'. She does it again with 'One Minute Journaling'. She goes through many different layouts and explains with words and lots of photos how to set up the crafting on two pages and then two pages of how she came up with the writing. She starts with the simplest journaling techniques and proceeds to the more complicated. She has all kinds of simple quick ideas, writing tips and reminders throughout the book. She has a tool box for each layout and story starter questions to get your ideas flowing. I recommend this book for all who scrapbook. I shared it at my local scrapbook store the other evening and it was a big success for those who know they need to journal. I was disappointed to hear from others there who thought journaling took away from the very wrong they are!! Thanks, Joanna for another great book.
