About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.
When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

4 1/2 STARS! Trouble might have just walked in the door, but she likes it ... and so did I! I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a glorified Shaughnessy super fan here, so it's no surprise that Dylan wound me around his finger and hung on tight as the ups and downs of his story took me through a rollercoaster of emotions. He's sexy and intense, but shows his kind heart and understanding soul quickly when he meets Paige. She's not as true to herself as she should be, and meeting a man like him helps her to stand up for herself and go for what she wants in life a lot more. I loved them together ... and I'm already wanting more! Well known bassist of rock band Shaughnessy, Dylan Anders is trying to pick up the pieces of his life after his epic downward spiral. He's trying to make amends and get the head on his shoulders straightened out for the first time in years. The idea of working on a literacy program intrigues him ... and that's even before he meets the mastermind behind it! Paige Walters works for her father's PR firm and came up with this campaign idea, but the pieces aren't falling into place exactly the way she had planned. Instead of highlighting the side of reading she wanted, the powers that be want to bring in some washed up rock star to be the draw for more publicity. She's not happy about it, but what choice does she have ... she has to work with the guy. To her surprise, he's not what she expected ... and what he is, well, she's falling for that guy before she knows it!

WOW!! I was blown away while reading One More Promise by Samantha Chase. Ms. Chase really knows how to create a loving story between two people who crave appreciation for what they accomplish; even a good job would have been nice. I think my favorite part of this book was Dylan realizing that there was so much more to Paige than her uptight, must get stuff done persona and when Paige realized that Dylan was no longer the party boy everyone thought he was but that there were so many more facets to him. These two understood each other and worked well together, her yin to his yang. I’m so glad these two were able to find love along the way, even if it meant standing up against Paige’s father and sister. The manner in which Ms. Chase created a group of friends supportive of each other, no matter how difficult things seem is also amazing. Ms. Chase is a wonderful story teller, making me feel as if I was right there watching the action unfold as she drew me in, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to the next book in the Band on the Run series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Paige lives a life of rules, structure and safety. Dissatisfied with her job at her families PR firm, she struggles daily to be what they want her to be but can never measure up. When her sister steps into Paige’s latest project, despite screwing up some of the details, it actually ends up being the thing that will change Paige’s life. Instead of a literary genius, her sister has contracted a rock star to help push their new literacy campaign. Dylan is a recovering alcoholic. Now that he’s got rehab behind him, he’s finding life has nothing to really offer him. His band is on hiatus and even if it weren’t, he’s not sure he’s ready to be thrown back into that life again. Nevertheless, he’s bored and looking for the something more that life might offer him. Due to a court mandate, he must serve community service and he soon finds himself in the company of Paige with her quirky way of dressing, her large framed glasses and her disregard for his star status. I really enjoyed this story of Paige and Dylan. This was more of a character driven story rather than one led by drama or angst, and although there is just a tad, it isn’t the focal point of the book. I liked that this showed their relationship as true in that they both suffer from growing pains when learning to share their life with a significant other. Along the way, they each continue to seek out a way to make their professional lives more satisfactory even while blending it with their personal lives. This is well written and never bogged down. The secondary characters were terrific, even Paige’s family that I wanted to smack a time or two. The chemistry was spot on even if there isn’t a lot of sexy times shared with the reader. I didn’t miss it because these characters were so real to me, I just had to know how things were going to work out for them. This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and Sourcebooks.

One More Promise is a book that I could not put down. I was excited to keep reading about Paige and Dylan. The story had spunk, love, strong characters, a fun setting, and a great storyline. I loved that the characters were relatable, even the famous band members. There were unlikable characters that were necessary for the story to flow and be true to life but most were likable. My feelings while reading were up and down. I laughed, I sighed in contentment, I smiled, and I had tears all while reading page after page of this wonderful story. I laughed at the fun Dylan and Nora had. I was content with their relationship and how real it was. I cried at how both characters were treated by friends and family but loved how strong they both were, especially when they were together. I was in awe of how together these two were able to conquer anything. This is the perfect heartwarming and loving story. The characters were amazing and the storyline was fast paced. I recommend picking up your own copy and enjoying the story of Nora and Jack.

WOW, just WOW!! One of my favorite genre of romance is “Rockstar” romance and One More Promise certainly fits that bill. BUT, IT IS SO MUCH MORE!!! There is so much I can say I loved about this phenomenal book. The lead characters, Paige and Dylan, oh my, I love these two. Two lost souls, each with “familial” problems, each trying to solve the problems in their own way. Dylan became the “Bad Boy” long before he became the big “Rockstar” trying to get his parents attention. Unfortunately, he almost ruined himself trying to do it. Paige, she goes to the other extreme, she is practically making herself sick, bending herself backward, trying to impress her father. I could really go into a dislike even hate tangent regarding Paige’s family. I would really like to bi… slap Paige’s sister for the way she treats Paige. Sorry folks, I am not going to give ANYthing away. You NEED to read this wonderful book to see what I am talking about. I REALLY loved the way that Paige went into meeting Mr. “Bad Boy, Rockstar” Dylan Anders with so, so many preconceptions. Then Paige met Dylan meet and talk get to know each other and, BAM, ALL those preconceptions were blown away. During these conversations, Dylan realizes that Paige’s familial situation IS worse than his was, and he and Paige bond even closer. I absolutely LOVE Samantha Chase’s phenomenal writing skills. Ms. Chase has become one of my all time favorite authors over the last couple of years since discovering her. The way she develops the story line and the characters is phenomenal. I know when I pick up one of her books that she will take me into someone’s life and not let me out until I read the very last word. Her books are just that great! I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure and it most definitely did that, in spades and I just wanted to tell you why. I helped you make the decision to purchase this wonderful book. Now, what are you waiting for, go hit that one-click button!!! Thank you for reading my review.

One More Promise is book 2 in the Shaughnessy Brother: Band on the Run Book. Dylan is the bad boy in the Band. He was wild and out of control. He ends up going to rehab after getting a DUI. After rehab he is really working the program and getting control of his life. He has a bad reputation he is trying to overcome. Through his Community Service he connects with Paige Walters, who works for her family's PR firm, to work on a literacy campaign. I felt a little sorry for Dylan. He really had to work hard to get Paige to allow him to help out on her campaign. She has no interest in working with a rock band idol. Her father overrules her and now she's pretty much babysitting Dylan. I felt a whole lot of anger on Paige's behalf. She works herself to the point of exhaustion just for her sister to step in and get credit. It opens over and over again. Her father really has a blind eye to her sisters antics and doesn't give Paige any credit. I love the banter between these two. I think because Paige isn't impressed with an 'idol' that Dylan can be himself. On the other side Dylan can clearly see the disregard that Paige is dealt at the hands of her family. Through each other they become better people who take charge of their lives. I love that we got to visit with the other member's of the band Shaughnessy. Samantha has a great way of writing that sucks you into the story. The characters are well developed and that you can easily relate to. I can't wait for the next book!

I received a free copy from the author Samantha Chase writes characters that I fall in love with. They are flawed, but it's the flaws and the growth the characters show that warm my heart. Dylan is working on rebuilding his life and figuring out who he is sober and Paige needs to stand up for herself and gain confidence. The time they spend together on the campaign has them helping each other to be better versions of themselves. I love this series and can't wait for more.

Dylan wants to have a successful recovery and is trying very hard. His former lifestyle, family, and acquaintances do not make his life any easier and he must find a way through it all. Paige has no personal life and her family makes her professional life beyond difficult. I don't know how she continues to put up with their behavior. They both have mush to learn about themselves and to take charge of their lives. A great pair. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This is one of those stories that I always say give you the warm and fuzzies! Form the moment I started this book I didn't want to put it down, I was truly invested in Paige and Dylan. My heart was in my throat every time Paige had to deal with a member of her family. I think Paige was perfect for Dylan, she was never given a chance to succeed and he is now not given an chance to prove himself. For as much as they have lead very different lives, they both want to prove many people wrong. Now I have to go read book 1, and wait not very patiently for book 3. #MSBB

One More Promise by Samantha Chase is book two in the Band on the Run series and one of the better rock star romances I’ve had the pleasure of reading! Dylan is your average rock star. He’s done everything his reputation accuses him of, and ends up doing community service working on the Literacy Now program, with Paige. This is Paige’s chance to prove that she has a place in the family’s PR business. She’s not letting anyone get her way, especially some rocker just out of rehab. But Dylan is more than that and when Paige finally realizes this, a blooming romance develops. Lovable characters all the way around from our main couple to the secondary characters…except Paige’s father and sister. Those two are something else entirely. Well-written words grace the pages making this story an easy read that I never wanted to end. Samantha Chase knows how to deliver a must-read romance!

This is a great story! At first I wasn't too sure, with Dylan being termed a "bad boy" but that quickly changed after he met Paige, a librarian who was looking for help on a literacy campaign. That's when it all started kicking off and it would be a wonderful addition to your library. I always look forward to this author's stories.

On the surface, bad boy, fresh-from-rehab rocker Dylan can’t possibly have anything in common with straight-laced, put-upon ad executive Paige Walters. That’s exactly what Paige thinks when meets him and sees hs tattooed arms. He’s been forced upon her by her dad and sister...to work on a literacy project she envision an entirely different way. Dylan thinks she’s a bit uptight...and rightly so...but is attracted and intrigued by her. As their story progresses, we see that they do actually have quite a bit in common, and that first impressions are very often not accurate. Dylan’s friendship and support help Paige begin to stand up for herself...thankfully, because I wanted to shake her sometimes! And Paige’s acceptance of Dylan’s past and struggles to make amends is a great boost to his continued recovery. Great storytelling is what I expect from Samantha Chase and I was not disappointed with One More Promise! Dylan and Paige are two extremely likable characters who clicked for me as a reader from page one. I read this book in one sitting...I could not put it down. Fantastic secondary characters, both those you love and those you want to clock upside the head, add another interesting layer to an already fabulous story. In fact, dare I hope that Daisy gets her story told...with an interesting drummer, perhaps!? One other thought to share. For those of you who may not be enameled with the whole “rock star” hero, do not write this book off! Yes, Dylan is a rock star, but the story doesn’t deal with his time on the road, filled with groupies, parties, alcohol and sex. This is about his recovery, and rediscovery, of the man he is now and wants to continue to be. I loved his journey with Paige. I think you will too!

Inspiring!! Dylan Anders is out of rehab and wanting to start a new beginning. Paige Walters is a woman who is strong & independent as long as it doesn't involve her family. I fell in love with Dylan & Paige! I thought this story was very inspiring while also breaking my heart at some points! You should keep the tissues close while reading. There were so many times I wanted to reach out and hug either Dylan or Paige when life was hitting them hard. This is my favorite story so far in this series!

3.75 stars--ONE MORE PROMISE is the second instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult BAND ON THE RUN romance series focusing on the rock band Shaughnessy. This is bass guitarist Dylan Anders, and PR person Paige Walters’ story line. ONE MORE PROMISE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. BAND ON THE RUN is a spin-off from the author’s SHAUGHNESSY BROTHERS series. Told from dual third person perspectives (Dylan and Paige) ONE MORE PROMISE follows Dylan Anders in the months after his release from rehab following a drunk driving accident where our hero was at the wheel of the car. With community service on the horizon Dylan opts to investigate the literacy campaign promotion offered by the PRW Agency. Enter Paige Walters, the woman in charge of the agency’s campaign, and the woman with whom Dylan will fall in love. What ensues is the slow building relationship between Dylan and Paige, and the fall-out when Dylan’s past refuses to let go of the present. Paige Walters is a stickler for order; a no-nonsense woman who works for her father but always finds herself on the outside looking in as her older sister continues to enjoy the accolades of being daddy’s favourite, drawing blood in a game of one-upmanship and personal attention. As the literacy campaign runs into high gear, Paige Walters finds herself pushed to the side as her sister enjoys the benefits of our heroine’s hard work. Paige’s low self-esteem and inability to demand her due will be the downfall of a woman when disaster strikes at the most inappropriate time. Dylan Anders knows that he has three months of community service working with the PRW Agency and the literacy campaign but falling into the cyclone that is Paige Walters was something Dylan had never imagined. Trying to keep his distance was virtually impossible, and when the PR agency demanded that Paige and Dylan play the role of a lifetime, meant Paige’s pull would become stronger than ever. The relationship between Paige and Dylan begins as a business arrangement that will soon take on a life of its own when the paparazzi gets wind of our hero’s potential downfall. Their initial meeting leads to many acrimonious confrontations caused by our heroine’s inability to bend her own rules. Pretending to be in a relationship finds our couple growing closer together, a relationship that will soon grow into something more. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied and fade to black. ONE MORE PROMISE is a story of family and friendship; recovery and forgiveness; acceptance, romance and love; of the bad boy falling in love with the good girl, and the good girl wanting what she could never have. Our heroine’s attitude early on was a little disconcerting but we soon discover that she has spent her life in the shadows of her older sister-a woman who continues to destroy our heroine’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth. The premise is both heart warming and heart breaking; the romance is captivating and sensual; the characters are realistic and inspiring. ONE MORE PROMISE is a sweet and engaging tale of one woman finally coming into her own.

I just adore Dylan & Paige’s story. It was so many things, but what stood out to me the most was the depth of these two people and the heart they put into everything they do. After being released from rehab, our bad boy rocker Dylan is basically floundering and not sure what to do with all the free time he finds himself with, his past has made him very insecure about his present and future. He is given an opportunity to complete his community service through a Literacy Program which happens to be a cause very near and dear to his heart. It is there he meets the sweet and proper Paige, who is running the program. He doesn’t think she likes him very much at first because let’s face it, she really isn’t very nice to him and pretty much thinks she has him pegged as a stereotypical bad boy rocker. Paige has her own set of problems with a family that walks all over her and the insecurities they make her feel daily. Turns out Paige was very wrong about Dylan. They have amazing chemistry and so much in common and I just love all of their interactions whether horizontal or vertical. Their banter is fun but they also have important conversations as well. Paige is definitely not as prim as she appears once they get behind closed doors. I love that about her, and so does Dylan! They are both insecure about their relationship which I love because it makes them so real and relatable. They are not without bumps in the road, but what a great ride Samantha Chase takes us on while we watch Dylan and Paige basically become who and what they were always meant to be. Each other’s forever. What a wonderful love story and story of triumph this is!!! I hope Julian is up next!!

Paige Walters works for her family PR firm in Los Angeles with her father and sister. She has always felt like an Ugly Duckling, or maybe Cinderella compared to her tall, svelte, glamorous sister and always falls short in the eyes of their father, even though her sister Ariel never actually does any work and dumps it all on Paige. Although with clients and other people Paige is forthright and firm, with her father and sister she is just a doormat and she never gets the courage to call them on their bad behaviour. Paige feels passionately about a charity called Literacy Now and she has come up with a campaign involving famous authors, which she hopes will encourage reluctant readers at school to get more involved with books. As usual, Ariel is asked to do one simple thing and, not only doesn't do what she was asked, but decides to go off on a tangent. Instead of contacting famous authors, Ariel decides that what the campaign needs are just famous people full stop and has invited rock stars and actors instead. Dylan Anders has just spent three months in rehab after crashing his car whilst under the influence. He is the bass player with Shaughnessy, a famous rock band, and desperate to turn his life around. He is required to perform several months' Community Service following the accident and thinks that the literacy now campaign could be something he could get behind, particularly because he had difficulty reading as a child too. Paige really has no idea who Dylan is, which he finds refreshing, initially put off by his tattoos and image she comes to find that the man underneath is nothing like the media image. Dylan likes Paige, he knows she is too good for him, she should date a lawyer or someone like that, but while the band is on hiatus he thinks the campaign will keep him out of trouble. he's never had a relationship last more than a few months anyway and Paige just isn't that sort of girl. Paige is sick of her sister taking all the glory while she does all the hard work, she's sick of her father falling for Ariel's attention-grabbing tactics, she's sick of Ariel undermining her and criticising her clothing choices, but most of all she's sick of everyone thinking she's Miss Goody Two Shoes. if she wants to have a short-lived affair with a tatted rocker, why shouldn't she? This was just a joy from start to finish. I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I don't think its necessary to be able to enjoy this one. If you like bad boys trying to turn over a new leaf and clever, funny women with a sweet tooth then this is definitely a great romance for you. I also got the distinct impression that this was a 'fade to black' kind of romance, I'm not going to go back and double check every sexy moment, but that was my overall opinion. I thought I recognised some lines from famous (to me) films in there somewhere too! I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I just loved these two. I loved being able to watch these two grow together. What's sad is we as a society tend to make false judgements and expect the worst. This book shows how people truly can change. This is one of my favorites by Samantha Chase.

4 1/2 Stars ... another sweet emotional romance! Dylan has been living the rock star life to the fullest for the past few years, but after a car accident he found himself in rehab for 3 months. With the band on hiatus, he needs a project to keep his mind from wondering to places he doesn't want to go. So when an offer to help with a literacy campaign comes his way, he decides to go for it. Paige has been working for the family PR company for years and she still doesn't get the recognition she deserves. So when the Literacy Now organization (a project close to her heart) comes to her company, she wants to lead the campaign. When she meets Dylan, she doesn't know how a bad boy, tattooed rock star can help ... until she spends time with him and finds out that he is nothing like he has been portrayed in the media. This is a sweet, funny, sexy romance! I couldn't stop myself for cheering for Dylan and Paige to try and make a go of it, even though they are clearly from different worlds. As for Paige's sister and dad ... well I just wanted to slap them! That's the sign of a great book when you become emotionally invested in the story. I can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend not only this book, but the first book as well. If you're looking for a feel good story ... then this is it! I received an ARC courtesy of Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Charming & Sizzling! What a charming, warm, sexy gem of a story. I couldn’t put “One More Promise” down. I love a good romance and this delivered. Samantha Chase’ strength is creating characters who live, breathe and jump off the page at you. The mix of sexual tension and emotional decisions will lead to you wanting to read her stories again and again.
Dylan Anders is a charming, bad, boy rocker, who’s sexy as sin with a horrible reputation. Just released from rehab, Dylan is determined to change his ways. But first he must find something productive and meaningful that can help turn his reputation around. When his agent tells him about a campaign promoting Literacy, he is at first hesitant to let the public know of his past. But since this would also take care of his required community service hours it could be just what he needs.
Paige Walters is an executive at her Father’s PR firm PRW. She is a smart confident young woman, until she is around her family. Paige suffers from life long insecurities from constantly being undermined by a beautiful, older sister. But when Paige comes up with the brilliant idea for the Literary Campaign she just knows this will finally get her the attention she deserves. Only to have the campaign taken out from under her by her sister again and assigned to babysit Dylan through the campaign. And oh boy, does our smart, fierce heroine give him a run for his money. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
This had me practically drooling with anticipation from one page to the next. These characters are fabulously crafted and gloriously complicated. But with light witty humor and sexual tension that adds sizzle to many scenes this is a such a satisfying and captivating storyline. With a wonderful heroine. A llckable hero. And a romance that makes a girl swoon. Loved it!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved this book! Dylan and Paige are fantastic characters and they just seemed to bring out the best in each other. This is the second book in the Band on the Run series but it is easily read standalone. The writing is excellent and the story is fun and nicely paced. While the band's on hiatus Dylan is working hard to get himself together. Fresh out of rehab he's looking for something to keep him busy as well as complete his required community service hours. That's where Paige Walters comes in although she's not happy about it. Her sister has turned Paige's literacy campaign into a circus in Paige's opinion but with no other choice she has to go along with it. She tries to make the best of it. Spending time with Dylan is no hardship but as their attraction grows she worries how she'll ever say goodbye. I highly recommend this one.

I’ve always had a soft spot for impeccably dressed CEO’s and bad boys with tattoos. Dylan Anders does not disappoint on the latter. One of the things I found most enjoyable about One More Promise is the total role reversal. Dylan is the perfect bad boy but he screwed up and after a three-month stint in rehab he is out and trying to find his way. His confidence has been shaken to the core and he is working to replace the bad boy image with one of positivity. He joins a literacy campaign as part of his community service and this is when Paige enters his life. Paige has a pretty boring existence. She works in the family PR firm where she is taken advantage of and underappreciated. She has a small condo, is active in a book club, and has a limited social life. The literacy campaign is her idea – she wants to use authors but her sister Ariel changes everything thus why a scruffy, tattooed rock star is now involved. I believe opposites attract and that is exactly what Dylan and Paige are. But they make it work. Paige comes out of her shell when she is with Dylan and becomes a fiery risk-taker. Dylan tries so hard to be a gentleman and stay purely professional but when Paige sets her mind to something, it happens! Dylan and Paige burn up the pages – they are hot, sweet, and completely adorable. When Dylan confronted Paige's father and called Ariel out for dropping the ball…all was right with the world!

I love the style of Samantha Chase's novels, they are delicate romances. I find that some romance novels are trying too hard in either being raw, crude or rather being too mellow and soft. Ms. Chase has a delicate balance in her writing and I feel it is evolving in a more mature style. This book is the perfect example! I am loving the Band on the Run spin off of the Shaugnessy's! Dylan could be a rock star cliche, addict, alcoholic, troubled...He is not only that he is real and wants to make amends with himself! In this path to sobriety he meets Paige who has troubles of her own. The romance of these two souls is not easy, but through their hurt we get to know these wonderful characters and their story. I feel specially grateful for this book because my daughter has a learning disability just as a character in this book, we know here in our home how it is to cope with it and how reading is important. I am an avid reader and day by day have to see my daughter struggle with her school work and reading. Thank you for Samantha Chase to bring this subject up with the respect it deserves!
