Erica Ridley’s historical romances ALWAYS make me smile! ONE NIGHT TO REMEMBER had me grinning ear to ear from the heartwarming moments to the downright comical ones as Ms. Ridley brings her own brand of history to life with light-hearted sparkle. Imagine a “lady” getting down and dirty like a grease monkey! Kind of give you vapors, doesn’t it? Wait until you read Felicity and Giles’ story, learn of their lives and feel the romance blossoming between them in a time when all a lady could do was marry for a title, security and position. Loved these characters! Loved Felicity’s secret defiance and Giles’ acceptance of both her knowledge and her capabilities in a man’s world. Once again, Erica Ridley gave me an afternoon of sheer delight and swoon worthy romance with her sassy characters, light-hearted style of writing where anything can and just may happen! I received a complimentary copy from WebMotion!

Two main characters who have overcome poverty and share a love of racing curricles. Giles likes to build and race curricles and Lady Felicity is a mechanic who can tweak them so they go faster. They are a match made in heaven; it only takes them a while to realize it. Good dialogue, great story! I received an ARC for my honest review.

Races, a smithy, and disguises make Felicity’s story such a unique one. The moment the met and were forced to work together there was a spark between them and it got stronger as every day went by. Anyone that saw them together knew they were meant to be together, but it wasn’t until that race that they both knew. The scene in the club was one of the best ever! This story is one of my top favorites ever. Felicity has dreams of starting a charity to help children and only one man will make her brother happy and support her dream. But once she meets Giles her heart changes her plans. I love her from the first time she was introduced in this series. Her eyes are opened to a different way of life that could give her the best of both worlds. Giles may not have a title or the money of the ton, but he lives a comfortable life. He shows Felicity that she can have what her heart wants without giving up true self. I loved him more and more every time he raised her up with his works and how he was with his parents. Copy provided for an honest and voluntary review.

Truly original story of essentially working classes. Erica has crafted an exciting story of acceptance and equality between the sexes. I think this is her best book yet! Her crafting of the carriage race is one of the best scenes I have ever read! Giles Langford has been given the title The Curricle King by the patrons of The Wicked Duke. He is an excellent blacksmith and wins all his races. He is one of the favorite patrons of The Wicked Duke, a unique pub that welcomes all no matter their position in society. His business has boomed since being favored by the Duke of Colehaven and others in high society. Lady Felicity Sutton is the sister to Cole. They were orphans who grew up in poverty until her brother unexpectedly inherits the dukedom. Whey worked in a blacksmith shop to be able to eat as children. Felicity loved the work and had a real talent for it even though society in this era didn't accept woman working in a man's field, much less a Lady. While Felicity is thrilled for her brother and the opportunities they now have to help unfortunate children, she misses her old work. She still keeps Cole's carriages in tip-top shape although it's a huge secret. Felicity's goal in life now is to marry a man with lots of money and title so she can set up a charitable foundation to help impoverished children. She knows she won't marry for love. It's a dream she's given up after 6 seasons of searching. It seems titled gentlemen balk at giving up their money to charity. When Cole challenges arrogant blowhard Silas Wiltchurch to a race to shut him up, he introduces Felicity to Giles so they can get his carriage in the best condition for the race as both of them are the best mechanics he knows. This is when the story really gets good. Giles quickly learns Felicity has a gift for mechanics just like he does. He's the first man in her life, besides her brother, who accepts who she really is. He sees her, and falls helplessly in love as they spend time together getting Coles carriage in better than perfect shape. I think the scene with the carriage race is some of the best crafted words I have ever read, absolute perfection! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Giles, a blacksmith, is asked to help one of his best customer's win a race. When he agreed, he didn't know that he would be working with the duke's sister. As he falls for her, he knows that she is way out of league but you can't help where the heart leads you. Before her brother came into the dukedom, Felicity did what was necessary to survive. This included acting as a younger brother and working as a blacksmith. Unlike her brother, she really loved the work and continued it after their fortune changed. She loves the idea of working with Giles, but she has no plans to marry. So when she starts falling for the man, she is torn. Will this unlikely duo find their HEA? I really enjoyed Giles and Felicity's story! I like when their is a class different with the H/H because it usually causes some extra level of drama to the story. I also really like that they shared an interest in working on carriages. It was something they had in common other than their mutual attraction. This was a great addition to the Wicked Dukes Club series!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. One Night To Remember, by Erica Ridley, is book five in the Wicked Dukes Club series. Available for purchase 6-11-19, this is the story I've been waiting for, Giles Langford. I was interested in his character in the pervious books and my hope for his own tale came true. Giles Langford, aka The Curricle King, is a respected blacksmith and a hell of a whip. His curricle, Baby, is like the wind, rushing by his opponents like a gale. He's talented, clever, and never out of control during a race or in his smithy. He earns a lot of Benjamins racing gigs he's souped-up for his clients. Giles even has his own fan club, women and men. It doesn't hurt that he's handsome and makes the ladies sigh. He has a pretty good life and is, mostly, content. Lady Felicity Sutton has know poverty, hunger, fear of the future while worrying about today. She's determined to never go hungry again and find a way to help other children in need. She thinks marrying a wealthy peer is the way to make her dreams come true. Turns out Felicity is a terrific mechanic, it's how she and Giles meet. There's a BIG race coming up & they're determined to win it. Giles lets Felicity just be herself and she loves him for it. Giles has found a partner in life and he loves her for it. The forge is not the only thing hot when these two are in the smithy. I found One Night To Remember to be a lovely story about learning to be yourself and finding that someone who lets you and loves you as you are. The next book, and end of the series, will be One Night Of Temptation by Darcy Burke. I'm waiting patiently. Happy reading. #WickedDukes #NetGalley #EricaRidley #HistoricalRomance

Giles Langford is a Wicked Duke, but a duke he's not. Broke but known for being a whip of the first caliber, he's very popular. When he is asked to race a carriage designed by for her brother. Felicity is not just a woman, but the sister of a duke. She and her brother were raised on the streets until her brother inherited a title. Felicity still runs the blacksmith business secretly to raise money to help the children on the streets. Giles and Felicity get closer together and fall in love. Will there be more than one night with this spirited, hard to tame woman? Will his heart be enough for her? Will one night be enough? Loved this book. One of my favorite of the Wicked Dukes. I received this book from Net Galley, the author and WebMotion for a honest review. I voluntarily read this book.

This is the fifth book in the wicked Dukes Club. However, it can be read as a stand-alone even though it is much nicer to read them all, as there are mentions of people who we have met before. This book deals with the problem of falling in love with someone outside your own class, It's well written and the characters are well thought about, with dialogues that easily can be imagined being uttered by the people in the story. Loved it! Recommended

This is book 5 of the delightful Wicked Dukes Club series. The author always creates fascinating and appealing characters in fast pace and clever scenario written in an entertaining and humorous voice. This addition is no exception. This is the story of Lady Felicity Sutton, sister of the Duke of Colehaven. To two of them had grown up in poverty, on the street, with Felicity disguised as a boy, so she could be with her brother, working at a smithy, which became a calling to her. After a number of deaths of distance relatives, they were plucked off the street, when Caleb (now called Cole) became the Duke of Colehaven. He has recently married in a love match and wants his sister to be as happy as he is. However, she has not forgotten the other street urchins that they grew up with and will sacrifice love for a wealthy husband who will allow her to start a charity to take care of the street children. Although she has had proposals, all have balked at signing a betrothal contract that included "permission for wife to contribute to charitable causes as she sees fit". At 24, her prospects have dwindled down to one older man, Lord Raymore, who also is interested in helping the poor children and sits on the House of Lords' Committe to Reform Child Labor with Cole. She still loves to tinker with carriages and curricles, which her brother indulges her to do in secret. Which is how she meets the Curricle King, Giles Langford. Cole wants to win a curricle race against the villain of the book, Silas Wiltchurch, and asks Giles to drive his curricle, but to also partner with Felicity in making adjustments to make it the best. Giles treats her like an equal and as they work together they fall in love. But she is a lady and he is a smithy. Will she sacrifice herself for the ability to help the children or realize that "true love" can accomplish anything together? My only question is why she never got together with Viola, who also lead a secret life. I received a free advanced copy of this book from the author as part of her Review Crew. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Oh, how I am enjoying this series. Each book is a stand-alone story, so no worries if you read them out of order. A tale of two people who are from different classes and with differing opinions on life and love, yet both of them share similar ideals and talents. After some misunderstanding, compassion and friendship bloom, passion ignites, excitement ensues, and we get a wonderful HEA. I received an advance copy of this book, and am happy to say that I highly recommend it!

Suspend Disbelief. If you can look past Giles’ modern outlook to women and the unlikelihood of the entire story, then you will adore this romance. Felicity disliked the poverty and uncertainty of her childhood but being of a mechanical bent, loved the smithy work she did, disguised as a boy. On her brother’s elevation to the peerage she had to learn to be a lady and knows that once she marries, her time spent tinkering with carriages must come to an end. Her goal is to marry someone of wealth and influence, preferably someone of high rank and with a charitable nature so that he will support her wish to start a foundation for impoverished children. So that man is so NOT Giles Langford, Curricle King and coach smith. I found this book delightful. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One Night to Remember is the fifth book in the Wicked Duke Club series. Each book is incredible and fun to read. This book is Giles and Felicity’s story. Lady Felicity’s brother, who is the Duke of Colehaven (from the first book), has entered a wager that his curricle would win in a race. The Duke of Colehaven hires Giles Langford, who is known as the “Curricle King,” to drive his curricle in the race and to work with Felicity to ensure he wins. Felicity hides her talents of being a smithy by dressing as a boy and working at Giles workshop. She is ready to give up her smithy work in order to marry a wealthy lord who will help her with her goal of creating charities to help children. Giles helps the neighborhood children by apprenticing them in his shop. He is impressed with Felicity’s talent and her charity goals but can’t help wanting to make Felicity a part of his life. Both characters are great but Giles was so sincere and sure of himself it was hard not to fall in love with his character. The book was well written, face paced and hard to put down. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, but am said it will be the last! It’s been such a fun series to read and I have enjoyed every book. I definitely recommend reading this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lady Felicity, sister to Cole, the Duke of Colehaven, is not your typical Lady. At four and twenty, this must be her last season. She has promised her brother she will find a man to wed before the season is over. Cole and Felicity grew up poor and parentless. They know what it is like to not have a place to call home, food in your belly or clothes to wear. They worked together in a smithy to survive and Felicity has become quite the lady mechanic. Her love of working on carraiges hasn't stopped. Then, in a surprising chain of events, Cole inherits and becomes the Duke of Colehaven. They no longer have the worries from their former poverty. Felicity has vowed to form a foundation to help the children who need help Her brother has written a clause into her betrothal contract that will allow her to use her bridal settlement to fund her foundation. So far, every suiter has rejected it. Challenged to a chariot race, Cole consulted with Giles, who is otherwise known as the Currical King. Together, he and Felicity are to ready Cole's chariot and make it the best so that he can win. But while working together, the two find that there is more to each other than they have thought. This is a sweet story. I enjoyed seeing how their relationship grows.

I smiled reading page after page. I could not help it. This is such a feel-good book. A delight to read. It is about what is important in life love or money. The Duke of Colehaven's sister, Lady Felicity, has a past she does not want to forget. She has made a vow and is determined to keep it. Even if it means marrying for the sake of keeping her vow. When an untitled gentleman, with a successful smithy comes into her life, she feels the freedom to be herself and to fall in love. But what of her vow? How can she reconcile marrying for love and yet not being able to keep her vow? This is a heartwarming story of self-discovery, following your heart and still win everything in the end. I truly enjoyed reading this and heartily recommend it.

What if your dream was unattainable? To marry a titled, wealthy man who would allow her to allocate her funds to helping children who were growing up like she and her brother. Desperate, hungry and alone. But now that her brother had the title of Duke, he was pushing Felicity to find a match. I mean, this was only her sixth season and no gentleman had been amenable to allow her to do with her funds as she wished. She had her eye on her last chance and hopefully all would go well. But when her brother wants his curricle ready for an upcoming race, he brings in Giles Langford, undeniably the best curricle mechanic there is around. But he also insists that Felicity work with Giles to make all goes well. You see she and her brother had grown up in a smity and she was really great herself. As Felicity and Giles work together, there is an undeniable attraction. But he did not fit her ideal of the man she needed to marry! He thought she was too high above him, but they really seemed to have interest the same and wanted to help others. Could there be any hope? Erica Ridley has created another Story to Remember in the wonderful Wicked Dukes series. Filled with delightful dialogue, humor and the push and pull of a romance waiting to happen! Prepare to get lost in this great story and smile and sigh as you make it to the end!! Lori Dykes

Erica Ridley’s latest addition to the Wicked Duke Club series she and Darcy Burke have alternately written, is another entertaining read with engaging characters, a plausible plot, witty dialogue, and a sweet/spicy romance. Felicity Sutton, the younger sister of Caleb (Cole), the Duke of Colehaven, has vowed to never experience again the old life she and her brother survived when growing up. She plans to marry a lord who can provide for her and won’t mind if she gets involved in charitable works, to help the poor and downtrodden. Her brother assigns her the task of jointly working with Giles Langford, the notorious “Curricle King,” on his custom-made curricle which he has entered in a heavily betted on and greatly anticipated race. Felicity and Cole grew up poor, working in a smithy before he became Duke. Giles has his own smithy and soon finds out Felicity is a very talented mechanic herself. Giles is instantly attracted to the lively, confident Felicity but knows there is little hope of a permanent relationship with her. She, in turn, is attracted to Giles but is determined to please her brother and pick a wealthy lord that fulfills her requirements. It is entrancing how the relationship progresses between Giles and Felicity. He accepts her for what she is and how she grew up and doesn’t expect her to fit some preconceived notion of how she must act and what is expected of her. Felicity has a harder time accepting herself and feels she must give up everything having to do with her past life. The resolution to their conundrum is sweet and spicy. One Night to Remember is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone, though there are characters that have appeared in previous works in the series. I have greatly enjoyed reading this work as well as all the previous offerings and encourage others who are looking for fun, light-hearted, sweetly spicy Regency tales, to consider this series. Please note, I voluntarily read an ARC of this work and my review is based upon my opinions of what I read.

One Night To Remember is book 5 in the Wicked Dukes Club Regency Romance series by Erica Ridley. This book was charming. Giles Langford is called the Curricle King because he is a notorious whip and coach smith. He has never lost a race and has a thriving business fixing carriages in his black smith shop. Lady Felicity Sutton has a hidden talent of fixing her brother the Duke of Colehaven’s curricle. When the Duke is challenged to a race, he turns to Langford to fix up his curricle to win it but only if Langford agrees to let Lady Felicity assist him. Once together sparks fly. But Lady Felicity has her own agenda - one that can not include Giles Langford. “To her consternation, Felicity was no longer mentally cataloguing the size and width of the wheels or the length of the splinter bar and breeching dee, but staring after Giles Langford. The man looked like a god of chariots. He had no prayer of blending with high society, nor any desire to try. He didn’t need to. He was precisely who and what he appeared to be.” I enjoyed this book. Of course it is highly unlikely that a Duke’s sister would wed a blacksmith. But historical romance is for dreaming not for reality. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I was gifted a copy of this book.

I confess I didn't like Felicity at the beginning. I found her to be calculated and cold but as the story started to reveal it self you come to understand her reason for wanting to be a part of the Ton and what it represents. I loved that she was a brilliant mechanical and had the support of her brother. As for Giles; I found him to be a great man. Not only was he taking care of his parents, he was also very much involved in helping young men and women finding their spot in the world. I loved him for supporting Felicity even knowing she would never be his but that didn't stop him from loving her. I've finished this book in one sitting not caring what was happening around me. This series has become one of my favorites because I've jet to read one where I didn't fall in love with the MC's and their road to HEA. ***Review copy requested and reviewed on behalf of OMGReads Blog***

There’s probably nothing remotely historically accurate in the relationship between our hero and heroine, but that didn’t stop me from loving every minute of it. The chemistry between Giles and Felicity is explosive from the very first moment we see them together. It’s easy to see why this pairing should never work, and why they’re perfect for one another. In fact, they broke my heart a couple times through the course of this book when they kept refusing to see just how perfect they are for one another. I'm so glad they were able to finally able to get their heads (and hearts) on straight. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

Another splendid addition to the Wicked Dukes series! Felicity and her brother had a hardscrabble childhood until he unexpectedly inherited a dukedom. Felicity never forgot her roots, nor did she ever give up the skills she'd acquired as a child. When Cole hires the famed coach smith, Giles Langford, to make sure his curricle is ready for an upcoming race, he insists that Giles work alongside his in-house mechanic, his sister Felicity. Meanwhile, Felicity is trying to find a titled husband who will offer her both the security she needs and the freedom to run a foundation to help children who are struggling the way she did years ago. Working with Giles, however, makes her realize that she misses some aspects of her simple childhood, before the expectations and rules of high society became the driving force in her life. The story beautifully demonstrates the dignity to be found in all classes of society, and presents a cast of characters who are true to their hearts, regardless of their social standing. It's definitely a unique spin on the usual Regency romance, written so superbly that it brings credit to all the characters in this fictional world. Felicity's spirited determination was expertly developed, and while Giles was a swoon-worthy hero in his own right, the story belongs to Felicity and she shines from start to finish. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

One Night to Remember, the fifth story about the unforgettable men of The Wicked Duke tavern, is fast-paced, exciting, and entertaining. Giles Langford, the most sought after carriage mechanic and probably the best racer in London, and Lady Felicity Sutton, the sister of the Duke of Colehaven, meet when the Duke insists that they work together to make sure his curricle is ready for an upcoming race. Felicity is thrilled. Giles is not so happy about the arrangement, but what the Duke wants, the Duke gets. Felicity and her brother grew up in a smithy, and it doesn’t take long for Giles to realize she is a better mechanic than most. Giles and Felicity are fun to watch. As they work together, they come to admire each other. They have much in common. Both are smart and industrious, kind and caring. They agree on the value of helping others, especially children. These two are made for each other if they could just get past a few obstacles. They might be falling in love, but nothing can come of it. Cole is the only family Felicity has ever known, and she wants to please him and make him proud. He wants her to make a “good” match. She wants to establish a charity for children who are growing up in the same conditions she and her brother did. That means she must marry a peer, the higher ranking the better, doesn’t it? The race and the romance – how does everything work out? One Night to Remember is another winner in this series. Don’t miss it.

Felicity has a goal in life that she thinks she has to live a certain way to make it come true. Then along comes Giles, he is everything she wants and thinks she can’t have. Luckily life doesn’t always have to work out the way we think it does. Sweet lovely romance.

One Night to Remember (Wicked Dukes Club #5) by Erica Ridley ...Thanks to Erica Ridley for allowing me to preview and review this book. This is another great addition to the WICKED DUKES CLUB series. Felicity Sutton (sister of Cole"Duke" and carriage mechanic) Giles Langford (Expert carriage mechanic and whip) She wants to please Cole and marry well hopefully a Duke...He wants to build his business and win races. There is plenty of action, angst, some laughs and steamy stuff all leading to a very HEA. I think Felicity and Giles are two of my favorites... I can't wait for the last book in the series ONE NIGHT OF TEMPTATION by Darcy Burke ...I highly recommend this series. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Entertaining Informative Funny Easy-to-read Action-packed Inspirational Page-turner Wonderful characters Great world building Witty Steamy Happily Ever After Romantic
