A fun and steamy best-friend's-little-sister story with a touch of mistaken identity and teenage crush thrown in for flavor! I absolutely need to be reading more from Jessica Lemmon! Reid and Drew's book was so much fun to read--it was just fine that I hadn't read the first two books in the series yet (but they're on my TBR now!), and you'd better believe I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the next one--I'm not saying whose it is, though, because that would be a spoiler--just know that it's going to be so good! My one complaint is that things were wrapped up a tad bit too quickly at the end--I would have liked to have seen Reid do a bit more groveling; despite the overhaul his life had undergone, he still could have handled things better there--but since the end result is they reached their HEA, it's hard to be too upset about it. I'm looking forward to seeing them together in the next book, being all cute and couple-y :) Is it October yet? ;) Rating: 4 stars / B+ I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

It was so easy to fall in love with book. Drew and Reid's romance was fun, exciting, steamy and just a little bit cute. The chemistry between these two was intense and very spicy. For the most part I truly enjoyed the story but I will say that deception is not my favorite plot twist (even if it all works out in the end). Reid definately needed a push in the right direction to wake him up but Drew's "white lie" was still dishonorable and not the way to build a solid relationship.

Reid Singleton is the lone remaining member of his group of friends that's still living by the Bachelor Pact they made years ago. Reid has his own reasons for not ever wanting to settle down, and while they don't have anything to do with him being a player or afraid of commitment, he's never shared them with another person. Besides, keeping himself single makes it easy to pick up the stunning brunette he meets while away at a work conference. Drew Fleming has had a crush on her brother's friend Reid for years. While she has changed over the years, she's still caught off guard when he doesn't recognize her. Wanting to live in her fantasy for a little while, Drew doesn't immediately tell Reid who she really is, but when it ends up coming out anyway, they both can't find a good reason to stop seeing each other, even besides the fact that his best friend is her older brother. While they're busy exploring their attraction, a blast from Reid's past shows up and completely throws him off kilter. And, no, it's not what you're thinking at all. While Jessica Lemmon has become a must-read author for me, and I feel like I've come to know her writings pretty well, I was gobsmacked with the twist she threw in on this one. And I'm even more frustrated because it's something I absolutely cannot talk about as it would completely ruin it. So if you're looking for spoilers, you won't find any here. What I will say is that the twist felt almost out of left field though still plausible, but once introduced I wanted to explore it so badly. One Night, White Lies is a relatively short read and I was worried that there wouldn't be enough time devoted to really get in-depth with it, and while that's true to a certain extent, just know that the storyline will be picked up in the next book. So right away my expectations are high. Where Reid and Drew are concerned. I felt like it didn't play out as the typical "best friend's little sister" trope as there's not too much conflict placed on the fact that Drew is, indeed, Reid's best friend's little sister. There's more emphasis placed on the idea that both Reid and Drew are pretty set on the idea that they're not interested in a long-term commitment. At least, that's what Drew keeps telling herself, and not that she is trying to conform to Reid's wants but more that she honestly wasn't looking for the attraction between them to turn into something more. I liked the easy exploration of something that starts out casual and seamlessly turns serious. So, yeah, Jessica Lemmon continues to be one of my favorite authors. Definitely excited to read the next book in the series. One Night, White Lies reads really well on its own although I don't think anyone would be upset about having to go back and read the others because they're really good too!

One Night, White Lies (ebook) by Jessica Lemmon ....Well done Jessica...Thank you so much to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview and review this book. The is the 3rd book in the BACHELOR PACT series. Reid Singleton ..dealing with losing his twin at age three and best friend and business partner of Gage her brother... Drew ...The younger sister who was shy and overweight ....Their story had me shedding tears, laughing, more tears and more laughter...their is angst, lots of steam, secrets, white lies and discovery all leading to a very HEA. I can't wait for Tate and Hayden's story in October 2019. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Realistic Happily Ever After Unpredictable Tear-jerker Great world building Steamy Entertaining Easy-to-read Romantic Page-turner Wonderful characters Tragic Witty

Sexy with a hint of intrigue! Forbidden passion exploded between Reid and Drew in the next book in The Bachelor Pact series. Reid made a pact to never fall in love with his two best friends Gage  and Flynn, and although those two saps have fallen under the spell of a couple of terrific ladies, he's determined to remain faithful enough to the vow for the three of them ... until he comes across Drew again. They were really adorable together. Sexy as all get out, but also since knowing each other in their youth, they knew more about each other from the start than the average couple and it made for a really open connection between the two of them. I would have liked to have seen a little more development to the ending, but overall it was an entertaining read and added a lot to the series. Drew Fleming knows who he is from across the room, and when she realizes he doesn't recognize her from all those years ago, she's determined to seduce him before he puts two and two together and calls a halt to their fun. After all, bro code doesn't allow you to put your hands on your best friend's sister! Reid Singleton's mind was just blown with how good the sex was with the seductive goddess he just met at a trade show, but when he realizes her true identity, he's fit to be tied! Gage is going to kill him for getting it on with his sister ... but since the deed has already been done, why not continue the fun??
