For those who love a little rock 'n' roll attitude with their Christian pop, Australia's Paul Colman Trio are just the ticket. Their 2002 U.S. debut, New Map of the World, was an instant hit, garnering PC3 a Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and a Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album. One continues in that same vein, offering hummable pop-rock melodies that don't distract from the group's meatier-than-most message. One has catchy radio-ready hits aplenty ("I'll Be with You," "Live It!"), but they come with a rare challenge: Love those you don't want to love, forgive those who may not deserve it. This theme is aptly displayed on the excellent track "Solution," in which the lyrics throw down a spiritual gauntlet: "Have we forgotten Him and made religion king? Love and grace are what we should be offering," Colman chides. Colman isn't afraid to preach in his songs, what's more, his is a message Christians need to heed.

This album is a wonderful example of how great Christian "pop rock" can be. Within that context lead signer and guitarist, Paul Colman puts forth catchy, yet convicting lyrics -primarily directed toward a complacent church. The supporting musical framework is unique within the genre and very well executed. In addition, the brilliant efforts of producer, Brent Milligan have resulted in a well-recorded, musically diverse, yet cohesive sounding album. I highly recommend it.
This was a really, really great CD!!! I would say it was one of the best CDs I've listened to!! I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Christain music. Also, my very favorite song is "I'll be with you".
