About the Author

Deanndra Hall is a working author living in far western Kentucky with her partner of 30+ years and three crazy little dogs. She's written for business, industry, religious institutions, non-profits, and owned her own graphic design business, as well as working as a fiber and textile artist. When she's not writing, she can be found working out at the local gym, hiking, kayaking, reading (of course), or working on a healthy recipe. And wherever she is, chocolate is sure to be nearby.

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, betrayal, pain, sadness, kidnapping, rape, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first The Groundbreaking (Love Under Construction Introductory Volume) Laying a Foundation (Love Under Construction, #1) Tearing Down Walls (Love Under Construction, #2) Renovating a Heart (Love Under Construction, #3) Planning An Addition (Love Under Construction, #4) One Simple Mistake (Citadel, #1) This is Bernadette and Jared’s story. Bernadette is living with her sister and trying to get a job. Jared is all about a good time. But with Bernadette he wants more. Bernadette is trying to get a job but she feels like a burden to everyone. When she finds a job she is thrilled she will be able to make lots of money. But when she finds out what the job really is she is stunned. Can she do the job? She needs the money and can work at it for a while and then get something else. But when Jared finds out he tosses her aside and she is deported. After she goes missing Jared realizes his mistake. Can he find her before it’s too late? Bernadette misses Jared but can she keep dealing with the daily pain in order to see him in her dreams? When she loses the last thing she has of him will she be able to survive? Will they ever find each other again? Can Jared deal with the news he finally gets about Bernadette or are both of them gone forever? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book.
