I DO NOT REMEMBER HOW MANY TIMES I READ THIS BOOK. I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND JOY EVERY TIME.
AP World History Review: This book is very intriguing and a quick read for those who are not too fond of reading. This book is comprised of 20 or more little stories wrapped into one big story. I thought the concept to be thought provoking. The main themes of this book are women and their rights, and exploration and adventure. This book is also where the western version of Aladdin was born from, and this book contains the original version of the tale. It also takes place in many different places and cultures like Persia, and Arabia, as well as Islam and Christian religions. This book cant be put down, a very good read and very educational in the daily lives and cultural beliefs of common Asian peoples. I also loved that it gave you a variety of stories and constantly kept you guessing. The writer definitely put her own twist on the story but without drastic change in the story itself. She had many credentials and is an exceptional writer. She also wrote the sequel to Peter Pan. So if you are looking for a story full of action and adventure, love and romance, i surest a thousand and one arabian nights for a book you wont be able to put down once you start!
