One Thousand Sheep will captivate parents and children to age six. As the lulling rhyme progresses, a farmer's one thousand sheep enter the barn for the night. The farmer directs the sheep to assemble while the count grows from small groups to tens and then hundreds -- until all the sheep are home safely for sleep. Math terms and concepts come to life with classic language and illustration. Count actual numbers of sheep and representations of the larger numbers. One Thousand Sheep is a timeless, must-have for every parent’s collection.

About the Author
If a flea or a fly ever needs an ally, Turner's the perfect guy. A lowly worm or even a germ he'll surely dignify. This is the case because he's an ace at applying a useful tool: the practice of feeling how others are dealing-and embracing the Golden Rule.
Turner descends on his mother's side from three generations of commercial illustrators. His father's father -- an architect -- was an accomplished watercolorist. While Turner never struggled in art class, his focus moved toward design and construction to satisfy his artistic eye. "One Thousand Sheep" opened an opportunity and represents his first effort at commercial illustration.
