Hot and Super Sexy!!!!!!! Tia once again has brought her readers a well written story that is fun, exciting with heart touching moments. I love this series and One to Chase is no exception! Marcus and Amy know how to steam up the windows with their passion. They have a one night hook up at Derek and Mel’s wedding- not exchanging full names- and definitely never expecting to see each other again. Marcus Merritt, Elaine’s older brother, the hot-shot lawyer who represented Derek when he was arrested for murder. Marcus is gorgeous, rich and a confirmed bachelor who is not willing to settle down. He also is on top of the social anarchy which is why Elaine request him help introduce Amy to some of his business associates. Amy Knight, is the younger sister of Stuart and Patrick Knight just moved back in order to spend more time with her mom. She is independent and reluctant to agree to the meeting. Amy doesn’t want to hurt her new sister in law feelings to she takes the meeting. Marcus and Elaine believe this is their first meeting, when their eyes meet- they are both stunned when they realize it is not the first time they met. Marcus and Amy meet once before- at a mutual friend’s wedding- where they hooked up for a one night stand. Marcus does not chase and Amy does not do relationship- but they cannot get enough of each other. Amy holds secrets from her past and Marcus has a secret from the present- can they get passed them and have something special? One to Chase is seventh book by Tia Louise- They can be read as a Stand Alone or as a series. Each one gets better. Every story is new and fresh- the characters grow but remain true to their original introduction to the series. I cannot wait until Tia goes back to the writing cave giving us more of her hot men.

So this series? I’ve been a fan from the very start. The author has a talent for creating amazing male heroes. They are imperfect, yet they do nothing but steal your heart. And the one who’s stolen my heart the most? Derek Alexander. That was until Marcus Merritt. “I’ve already fallen.” Oh Marcus. I have fallen. Let me count the ways. When fate brings Amy Knight back into the life of Marcus Merritt, he sees this as a second chance. Ever since they’ve met, he wasn’t able to get her out of his head. But even with this second chance, Amy is not interested. At least her mind isn’t. But her attraction to Marcus does not go unnoticed. He is devastatingly handsome and used to getting what he wants. It’s a big blow to his ego that Amy wants nothing to do with him. As the story continues, we learn there’s a reason why Marcus is the lawyer that he is. He simply doesn’t take no for an answer. “I will never break you.” Amy doesn’t believe in relationships. She’s been burned. Commitment is not something she feels she will be ready for. She just runs. Always. But with Marcus, she feels her walls slowly crumbling. He’s not a man to chase, but he finds himself chasing Amy. I found their banter to be flirty and fun. I loved watching them truly fall for the other. It was effortless. They simply made sense. When Amy finds herself not wanting to run, you feel that shift in their relationship. Perhaps she can have more with Marcus. He makes it so easy to want to give in. But how do you let a guarded heart love again? “My heart moved to his, knit with his...” The chemistry between Marcus and Amy was off the charts. The attraction between them went so much deeper than physical. Marcus knew he could love Amy. And he did. Deeply. His love for her was strong enough to break down every barrier Amy placed around her heart. His love shattered every obstacle. His love was strong. Not only did he find a place in Amy’s heart, but he will forever be in mine. Once again, the author has brilliantly added another layer to this wonderful series. One To Chase is intoxicating and addicting. I read it in one sitting as I refused to leave the world of Amy and Marcus. There was never a dull moment with these two. I held on to each word. Words cannot express my excitement for the continuation of this series as we get more Stuart and Mariska in One To Take!

Loved this series.. Read all 8 books and they are best read in order... Loved the characters and the series contains just enough of everything... Love, sex, mystery, violence and happy endings... The settings are in different places from big cities and penthouses to a ranch in Montana and a beach house on the East Coast ...In every instance I could not wait till the next book in this series...

4 star The story has laughs, twists and turns, secrets, betrayal, pain, ton of pleasure, and heartbreak. I would recommend reading the below before reading this story One to Hold (One to Hold, #1) One to Keep (One to Hold, #2) One to Protect (One to Hold, #3) One to Love (One to Hold, #4) One to Leave (One to Hold, #5) One to Save (One to Hold, #6) Runaway (One to Hold, #6.5) This is Amy and Marcus’s story. When Amy shows up for a job interview she comes face to face with Marcus the man she meet at a wedding and then ran out on. Can they work together? Will they be able to put the past behind them? Or are they both after a little more? When an old friend asks Marcus to do something for her and he agrees will Amy understand? Or will she leave him behind as she is good at running? Can they overcome the issues they both have or is it over before it ever really began? I had some trouble connecting with Amy. Not sure exactly what is was but I just couldn’t connect to her which made me not like her. Loved Marcus he was totally alpha and oh so passionate. The story was a great read. I recommend this book, the series, and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

3 - Uncertainty is essential. Stars. I am a big fan of Tia Louise and the One to Hold series. I have read and loved every book prior to One to Chase, and as such it is with real regret that I can't offer a higher rating for this installment.  ”A little business. A little pleasure.” Marcus and Amy’s story was an easy enough book to read, but for me it lacked the depth of background and emotional connection that I have always felt with the previous books and characters. Derek, Patrick, Stuart and Slayde all had very definitive and solid backgrounds and strong personalities, and as a reader you get to know more about them as their books/ the series progresses. I felt a bit empty with Marcus, yes he has a strong personality, but apart from being Elaine’s brother you learn little more about him for most of this book. Having read the introductory novella Runaway prior to this, I was expecting plenty of sexy times, and Tia never disappoints in that area, but I wanted the story to build with it. You can sense that both of them have issues that they are dealing with in regards to familial past relationships, but it took a little too long for everything to be laid out on the table for me. 'Everything in me craves her.' Amy is very much a runner, having returned to Chicago from Paris, under the excuse of spending more time with her mother, she’s actually hot footed it home, due to things getting a little too serious with her last lover. Relationships aren’t for her, emotional connections are to be avoided, and she’s almost a ‘one and done’ type of girl…  Until Marcus that is, running is still on the table, but he in his own way gives chase, on more than one occasion. Again, I lacked the understanding of her characters motivation until much later on in the book, and it all felt a little cliché for me, when you take into account the previous women from the series, their strengths, weaknesses and backstories, Amy needed more of all those attributes, it was a bit challenging to feel any real connection between her and Marcus, over and above the sex initially because of it. I really struggled with the whole plot for the first 70%, it felt very repetitive and reminded me a little of a day time soap opera with the whole Paige Goldfarb/Karen Philpot saga, not to mention the whole charade that Marcus allowed himself to get dragged into… the sniping and back-stabbing.  I suppose, I have extremely high expectations of the author, and although I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this one, being that it was two virtually unknown characters joining a series that has pretty much been based around and established through one specific group up until now, this change in direction didn’t quite work for me. As I said it was enjoyable enough, but I was expecting more. Tia Louise is one of my favourite authors, this series on the whole is still one of my go-to reads. The woman made apparent random toilet hook-ups sexy, for goodness sake. I know this is just a blip and I also know I will be on the minority with my feelings on Marcus and Amy’s beginnings.  'I’m not ready to give up on her.' Stuart and Mariska are up next, and that makes me happy, I fell hard for the guy in One to Leave, so catching up with them both a little more In-depth in One to Take due for release later on this year, gives me happy goose bumps!
