I cannot give this book enough stars...five is simply not enough...if you have not read "Who Killed My Daughter?" I highly recommend that you do....I read it in two days and could not recommend it to enough people...it is the tragic story of one family's loss and one courageous woman's relentless battle to get answers to why her daughter was killed and most important of all, who were the people responsible....the search uncovers corruption at the highest levels and is shocking to readers how the factions that we trust to serve and protect can also be touched by corruption...this book as well as the first book digs deep into the seedy world of political injustice and cover ups that the reader will find truly inconceivable...it is a read that will touch every heart no matter if your life was never touched by such tragedy or not...it is an important lesson that we should stand up for our beliefs and demand change...."One To The Wolves" is the heartbreaking continuation of "Who Killed My Daughter?" and is a MUST READ....whether you are a reader of true crime, someone whose life has been touched by senseless violence or just an avid reader in general, this book is possibly one of the most important books you will ever read....it is eye-opening, riveting and heart-rendering.....yet truly inspiring, that a Mother's love runs so deep...truly an amazing story that will stay in your mind for years to come....don't miss it!!!! Lois Duncan is a renowned writer of teen fiction, if you have never read her fiction, it is never too late to pick up some titles!

This book is riveting.  It is testimony to the love and courage of a mother and father whose daughter has been murdered.  It is testimony to the fact that time may pass but the desire—no, the NEED—to understand why somebody killed their child never fades.  This book calls out for justice and begs that anybody who knows what happened to Kait Arquette on that July night in 1989 in Albuquerque, NM step forward.  The time is NOW.  Kait is waiting for justice.

ONE TO WOLVES is the sequel to Lois Duncan's tragic true crime novel WHO KILLED MY DAUGHTER?, about the murder of her youngest daughter Kait, in Albuquerque, NM on July 16, 1989. WHO KILLED MY DAUGHTER? provided information about Vietnamese gangs, illegal activity- including drug trafficking and insurance fraud- corruption and police cover-ups. ONE TO THE WOLVES reveals that all this was, as the description says, just the TIP of a VERY large iceberg.  This book is absolutely riveting and completely absorbing. Once I started it, I couldn't stand to put it down. If I had to, my mind would either still be reeling from what I had just read or speculating about where it was going. Additionally, I found myself becoming emotionally attached- shock, horror, indignation, grief, vindication (when it was there) were all felt so strongly, it was astounding. I never had a book take hold of me as much as WHO KILLED MY DAUGHTER? did, until now. ONE TO THE WOLVES is a must-read. It is not only a story that needs and deserves to be told, it is one mother's present to her daughter that must, and I believe will, endure.

This is one of the best "who-done-it" mysteries written. Unfortunately, it's not fiction. In 1989 Lois Arquette (aka young adult author Lois Duncan) received the news no parent ever wants to hear- their daughter had been found shot. Since that time, the trail to track her daughter's killer took twists and turns no one would ever have believed. Written by Lois Duncan, "One to the Wolves" is the sequel to "Who Killed My Daughter?" and takes up where the first one left off, leading deeper into a world of corruption, drug trafficking, and murder.

Excellent book. Well written and presented. Very interesting to find out about some of the supposedly upstanding citizens!! I really think that Kait, being young, just did not think how truly dangerous some of here 'friends' were because she had come from a decent background and would not have been able to assess the dangers that lurked for her. There isn't a doubt that she knew too much, OR someone thought she knew more than she did, but either way she was too much of a risk to have WITHOUT the ties she was trying to break. Chances are that she would have moved on with her new boyfriend and forgotten most of what she had seen and/or heard, but someone, or a whole lot of someones were not going to take any chances. She was literate and articulate, and that was just too much risk for whoever it was that orchestrated this dreadful death.

This book will make you sad. It will make you angry at every obstacle that gets in Lois Duncan's way and hopeful for every hard earned victory or revelation. An incredible plot that's incredibly true.
