About the Author

Elyas Bahramand was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and moved to the United States in 1991. He currently lives with his family in California. He received an A.S degree in CIS, a B.S degree in Criminal Justice Administration (CSUS), and a Master's degree in Public Administration. In 2010, he was deployed to Afghanistan to work with the US Military as a civilian contractor, where he experienced the challenges of military life on deployment and enjoyed great stories told about the bravery of the US military personnel and ordinary Afghan people. Elyas enjoys traveling to foreign countries and uses his ability to speak five different languages. He currently works as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst for the State of California.
