Given my love animals and nature, I was excited to dive into this book. I was not disappointed. Part of a series of nonfiction books which explore animals that "are at risk and disappearing from our planet," it contains a wealth of information on orangutans and their habitat. As well as the human and environmental dangers they face. The stunning photographs, along with the easily accessible text and underlying humor, made it fun and interesting to read. It would make a great addition to any nature or conservation curriculum , as well as any library. Currently, there are eight books in this series, written for ages 8-12 (grades 3-5).
