A great book if Shakespeare is a struggle for you. However, I personally found no need for the "translated" easier to read side. Othello was straight forward and the plot was easy to follow.

This book makes teaching Shakespeare to ESL students easy. I've learned that you can read the play in "regular" English, and then explain some of the important Shakespearean passages more in depth. Great resource!

Would have liked to see an historical setting article included in the book. Otherwise served its purpose.

I thought Othello was a good story to read. I was upset when Othello believed Iago when he told him that Desdemona was cheating on him. I especially didn¿t like when sexist comments were made about women in some parts of the book because as a girl that was offensive. Other than that Othello was a good read, I think if it was made into a movie, it would sell out at the movies because it is a good love story/tragedy. I would recommend it to someone because it will challenge you if you try to read Shakespeare because I know I had a tough time reading it.

This was purchased for my son for school. I love how it put Othello into plain english. Once my son was able to understand what they were trying to say, he was able to reread the original words and follow it better. He made an A on his test for Othello!!

This was the first Shakespeare play that I read and it was amazing. This is a great version. It really helps you understand exactly what is going on, yet you still read the real Shakespeare. Fabulous!

I was so intrigued by this selection... It is an classic where shakespeare so wittily combines his typical tragedy with the infidelities of the human mind. The No Fear version made it even better because of the ease of understanding the strife of the characters.

One of Shakespeare's most witty, engrossing, enthralling, and fulfilling books. A must read!!!!!
