From #1 New York Times bestseller Lauren Blakely, a steamy new romance about a quarterback on the rise, the off-limits team lawyer, and a spark too hot to resist.

The first rule of football--don't screw with a streak.

My career is finally looking up, and I'm leading a new pro team down the field every Sunday. No way will I mess with that. But when I meet the most stunning and captivating woman I've ever seen, I tell myself one night will have to be enough.

But it's not. And now I can't get her out of my mind. Even when I'm playing. Even when I need to focus. Even when I'm on the hottest streak of my life.

And it turns out, she's not just some random woman I met. She works for the team. My team.

I only have one goal this season--do my part as the team's lawyer to keep them out of trouble. Help rebuild their reputation on and off the field. There's no room for error and certainly no room for a secret tryst with a player . . . even if he's the quarterback.

A Review of Out Of Bounds by Lauren Blakely A lawyer and a football player - 5+++++ stars When we first meet Dani, she is doing one of the things that she loves most in the world. Surfing - and ogling a gorgeous man on a board. When she notices another surfer dropping into the same wave, she tries to warn Eye Candy that danger is heading toward him, but he's too far out to hear her. When the other guy loses his footing on the board and ends up hitting Eye Candy in the head, she immediately reverts back to her lifeguard training and heads out to help. Once they are out of the water and she has checked his injury to make sure he doesn't need medical assistance, they end up sitting on the beach and talking. When she recognizes him as a quarterback, but he doesn't mention it, she figures that he just wants to have some down time to just be a regular person for a while. So, even though she tells him she is a lawyer, she doesn't tell him she works for a football team. They end up spending several hours together while she keeps an eye on the goose egg on his head and he walks her home. After giving him her phone number, she doesn't hear from him again, until a few weeks later he ends up being traded to the same team she works for. A comedy of errors lead her to thinking he didn't really care to pursue anything with her and he thinks that she blew him off. Because they are part of the same team, Dani decides that Andrew/Drew is off limits, but they just can't seem to stay away from each other. This is such a sweet storyline, with just enough angst to make it fun, but not so much that it keeps you anxious. Plenty of sexy times to keep you going. **Honest review voluntarily provided. Whether it’s a full length novel or a sweet and sexy novella, Lauren Blakely always delivers. Out of Bounds is Lauren’s latest release, and just in time for the weekend! A chance meeting between two strangers, sparks fly, along with the flirts, but ends with "nice meeting you" and the two walk away. Okay, so maybe the theme isn’t new, but Out of Bounds brings a delightful twist to a familiar story in a way that only author Lauren Blakely can. Professionals, each at the top of their respective professions, Drew and Dani are the right blend of smart and fun, flirty and sexy. I love what they each contributed to the story. The characters are equally confident and intelligent, making for a dramatic romance, but without the drama. It is the perfect one-sitting read.

I'll admit it. I've been ogling today in the ocean. I've been checking someone out in the water. But, in my defense, anyone would. And so it begins. The last thing that Dani Paige expects to find in the water during a day of surfing is the quarterback of the Anaheim Devil Sharks. But, there he is, Drew Erickson, in all of his hot glory. When a wipeout in the waves leads to lunch, which leads to a walk home, which leads to the promise of more, things have only just begun to heat up. Proving once again that she's no one-trick pony, Lauren Blakely, one of my favorite authors in the romance genre, scores a major win with her latest novella, OUT OF BOUNDS. I swear, Lauren cannot write a book that I don't love. Like, adore. As ever, it would seem that the word fairy has definitely bestowed her most favored status, because, the plot, the dialogue, the characters, all of them come together to create an infinitely readable morsel of feel-good storytelling. With their shared love of movies, surfing, and, well, each other, Dani and Drew seem like a match made in rom-com heaven, and, while there are bumps along the way, seeing them get to their happy place is one of the more enjoyable journeys I've made lately. As usual, Lauren has written characters that seem like they'd be as much fun to spend time with as to read about. Dani and Drew, as well as Dani's little sister, Abby, and Drew's bestie, Jason, make romance with a little bit of the forbidden seem much more fun. As a matter of fact, I'm going to bet that we see more of these guys, because, Abby and Jason, well, they have their own story to tell. In the meantime, 5 sunny, sexy, surf-loving stars. You know that you want to add this to your TBR, guys. Just do it, and enjoy.

I love Lauren’s books! Obviously, I can’t just say that and that be the end of the review. So here we go..  This was a naughty and sweet story of a football player and a lawyer. They have an attraction for each other, in which they can’t deny. But… is it ok? will this effect either of their careers.  I felt, that this was very different from the other books I’ve read of hers. But it still had that writing style that gets me all the time. I’ am a reviewer, so I read a lot. It’s what relaxes me. And if you love to read, you know that you want to enjoy what you’re reading. Really immerse yourself into the characters reality.  I loved Drew and Dani. Drew really is this wholesome good guy, no super alpha. He isn’t overbearing or needy. Dani is a strong character all on her own. You can really feel, what these characters are feeling. I loved their banter.  And… you can’t forget the steamy naughty sexy parts of this story. They have such a passion for each other, that it just jumps off the pages.  Only complaint.. I felt it was too short. I wanted more of Dani and Drew. Overall, I give Out of Bounds, Five Boundless Stars...Lissa

Lauren Blakely undoubtedly knows romance! And now, add sports romance to her repertoire! Every time she writes a book, it's magic! Out of Bounds smolders with heat, desire, and wicked swoon-worthy excitement! A chance meeting between two fantastic characters leads to a straightforward, yet complicated connection. An accidental surfboard injury, instant attraction, and undeniable chemistry...it all lines up to be a hot and sexy read. But when lines cross and the "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" come into play, it's not so easy to follow the rules, and forget about what the body craves and what the heart longs for. I've said this a millions times, and I'll keep saying it: I will never get enough of Lauren Blakely's books! This story proves just that! Humor, intense yearning, intricate and difficult situations, and passion...good Lord, the lustiness and sensuality Lauren writes sparks a fire inside that fuels your thirst for more. And more is what she makes you want...and more and more! Out of Bounds is an absolute must read! Fall in love and win big with this romantic love story! 5 Game-Changing Stars!

What originally drew me to author Lauren Blakely was her brand of heated suspense that could have readers on the edge of their seats and stir up some heartwarming emotions, with stunning reveals and emotional connections. I always left satisfied and anticipating her next book release. Recently, I've noticed a more playful side to her presentation. From opposites attract, to old friends discovering something new and the light banter delivered in he said, she said manner. I'm lovin' it. Change is a part of life and this change spices up an already seasoned author. Out of Bounds takes the words we as observers long to say and puts them out there from both sexes point of view. As a writer you never stop growing and Ms. Blakely continues to create memorable characters that are easy to love.

## This book was tremendous. Yes, it's a tad short, but oh so sweet and sexy. Drew and Dani had amazing chemistry. Their banter was funny and quite witty. I loved this heroine. She was so smart, beautiful, and playful. I loved that she wasn't coy, nor was she overly agressive. And omg, the hero hot as all get out. Perfectly confident without being cocky or arrogant. The sex was crazy good as well. The problem for me was that the conflict was resolved too quickly for my taste, hence the one star deduction. I needed time to process and wallow a bit. And then I turned the page and it was the epilogue. Other than that, a fun and sexy read that I will definitely read again.

4 stars I purchased Out of Bounds the short novel by Lauren Blakely and this review was given freely Each working for opposing football teams, sports lawyer and former lifeguard Dani is in the right place as quarterback Andrew/Drew sustains a surfing accident. This is a sarcastically funny steamy novella of coincidences, frustration, misunderstanding and a slightly taboo relationship with a happy ending.

I saw this new sports romance book and also saw it was written by Lauren Blakely, I knew that this was a must read for me! I am stuck on the sports romance genre. So I could not wait to dig in. This was a short story and a good recommendation if you are looking for a quick sexy read. Drew is our newest book boyfriend from Out of Bounds. He is the star quarterback for the Los Angeles NFL team. Dani is a corporate lawyer that handles the team's contracts behind the scenes. At the beginning when the two first meet, they keep their careers a secret from each other. Try to get to know each other that does not cross a line with what they do with their careers. I like how Lauren is able to add a little surfing fun, which is a must if you have the story places in California. Drew and Dani are immediately attracted to each other. Dani is worried that she is breaking a code of conduct rule if she is seen dating Drew. So she puts on the brakes for awhile. They have harmless flirting, but it grows and simply gets better and better. I really enjoyed this story. I would only say that I wished that it would have been a little harder for Drew to get the girl. Dani was also a little too forgiving when Drew ( and you will read about it )messes up. But I feel that had to happen to keep the story short and sweet. I wonder if there will be a novella on Dani's sister and Drew's best friend. That may be interesting to read. There was not to much drama, but when Dani and Drew finally get to let go of their built up lust for each other, I have to say that was a hell of a sexy scene or two.

OUT OF BOUNDS by Lauren Blakely is a stand alone, erotic romance story line focusing on the Los Angeles Knights quarterback Drew Erickson, and team attorney Dani Paige. Told from dual first person perspectives (Drew and Dani) OUT OF BOUNDS follows the building of the forbidden relationship between two members of the professional football team the Los Angeles Knights. As the team’s attorney Dani has had to deal with her share of team scandals and isn’t willing to place herself in the line of fire but meeting Drew during the summer hiatus adds fuel to a fire that is beginning to burn. What ensues is the push and pull of attraction between two people who are desperately trying to keep their relationship in the friend zone. OUT OF BOUNDS is a quick read; a sweet and sexy romance story line with a little bit of heartbreak when our hero believes his relationship threatens his golden arm. The premise is lighthearted; the characters are passionate; the romance is spicy and hot. OUT OF BOUNDS is an enjoyable story line from kickoff to touch down.

Her books are a wonderful light read that get to your heart. They make you smile and when they're done, the story is told. No wondering what happens now. She is a master at finishing the story happily and wholeheartedly.

This book was so predictably boring and so sappy sweet that I almost stopped reading it a couple of times, but I hate not finishing a book so I continued reading hoping it would get better but it didn't. I don't often write reviews but I do read them so I feel I must be honest. I've read a few books by this author and sometimes she hits it out of the park, but this was not one of those times. If you're looking for sappy and no depth to the story, by all means....read this book. Otherwise save your money :(
