After reading the positive reviews abd Blind Run, I couldn't wait to read this. I loved the characters, the story, the suspence.... I could go on and on. But, I want to start on the next one in the series.

If you like suspense this is the book for you. I couldn't put it down until sleep forced me to and I grabbed for it when I first woke up! Patricia got me from the first page and I was hooked until the last page. Awesome job!!!!

I loved this book! It kept me so riveted I could not put it down but then felt let down when I came to the end. I had to leave my lighat on when I read it because I could almost feel that Magician right outside lurking and I was so worried that Erin was going to believe he had died and would let her guard down. It was also very disturbing knowing that this Human Trafficking is really going on today. How many missing children are still out there? Thank you for the great work and I too wish I were Erin! Ha! Keep up the good work & I am off to your next book. I

This is an excellent book! It is very well written. I found that the dialogue simply flowed from one page to the next. And the suspense drove me crazy! Finally, just as I was feeling content with the wrap-up of the story-line - WHAM! Patricia delivers an action packed ending. If you are a mystery lover, you need this book!

Wow is all I can say. After reading Blind Run, Patricia's first novel I had to purchase Out of Reach. It's so spell binding, full of suspense and a real thriller. The bad guy, gave me nightmares. The subject matter, at first, was depressing as it involved kidnapping children. The tale is full of suspense and intrigue, a real thriller and will keep you on the edge of your chair. Erin, her main character, is strong but vunerable when it comes to her family. It's a great read and I highly recommend it! I look forward to Lewin's next release in November of 2005, a continuation of this book. Can't wait until Lewin's next book!

I was a huge creature of habit and didn¿t stray too far from my normal reads and then someone recommended one of Pat¿s books to me as it is the genre that I so enjoy. I haven¿t regretted it a day since. Her books grab you in the very first paragraph and holds on tight right to the very end. It¿s not just an enjoyable read, but rather a porthole to another dimension full of adventure and suspense with each gripping page.

Another hit from Patricia Lewin!! Much like Blind Run this was a fast paced two day read for me! I enjoyed it immensely and have read it two more times since the first read! Fast paced, intense, real life excitement will keep me coming back to Patricia's books for quite a while. Keep 'em coming Patricia! Can't wait for the next one!!

In ths fast-paced thriller, the heroes are trying to find a kidnapped boy, Ryan, as he tries to escape. CIA agent Erin recognizes a magician as one she saw when her sister was kidnapped, 19 years ago, and believes the cases are related. The bad guys are truly evil, and always close behind, causing many twists and turns. The characters are so real. This book will even make you see the internet differently. Patricia Lewin has a wonderful way with words!!

CIA Agent Erin Baker blames herself for what happened to her younger sister. When Erin was twelve, she was supposed to watch her eight year old sister Claire. Instead she was to busy playing and someone abducted Claire. A few years later Claire was found, but was not the same person. Now Claire resides in an institution while Erin and a family friend raise her niece Janice.

As the news flashes about missing children, Erin notices an ice cream truck vendor doing magic tricks that causes a recall back to the day Claire was taken as the hands of the magician seem the same though the person looks different. When a new abduction occurs, she informs the FBI Agent in charge of the case Alec Donovan what she saw. He breaks the rules as he recognizes that Erin is more than just a passerby with a tenuous connection. Instead he adds her onto the investigation team that soon leads the duo to mixed feelings as love flourishes between them. A battle against an evil soul that has no qualms about stealing the innocent soon looms and love might not be enough to overcome the fiend.

OUT OF REACH is an exciting police procedural romance that sub-genre fans will enjoy though the pit of the stomach will ache due to the abduction of children. The story line is fast-paced as Erin and Alec comb the country following up on clues. Though Claire¿s tale is not as clear as it needs to be to explain her further setback, fans will appreciate this entertaining serial kidnapper tale.

OUT OF REACH. By Patricia Lewin Her mission, involved her sister, the risks she took, made her dangerous. The kidnapping, she knew it was connected to the past, he still used parks for his game, she called him Magic Man, others say he is a myth. Alex and Erin work together, soon the evil was over powering, the underground, and children from all over. Survival, would it be possible for them and what they had uncovered. Gritty, strong plot, and doesnt stop till the last page. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
