About the Author

Having grown up in both the cold, quiet town of Topsham, Maine and the steamy, southern hospitality of Mobile, Alabama, Michele is something of an enigma. She is an avid Yankees fan, loves New England, being outdoors and misses snow. However she thinks southern boys are hotter, Alabama football is the only REAL football out there and sweet tea is the best thing this side of heaven and her children’s laughter! Her family, an amazing husband and three awesome kids, have planted their roots in the middle of Michele’s two childhood homes in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I will never be the same girl I was before West. Everything changed the night of the twister. Everything. ** Jules used to know who she was. In school she did it all: cheerleader, student council, popular. But then the tornado that bore down on Tyler came and took her town, her school, and her friends. Lying with the rest of the debris somewhere scattered is also her confidence and her security. Now she doesn't know who she is. She is still dealing with grief and loss, but most of all guilt. Guilt of not being able to save her best friend. Her only cure is West. But that may be too much for him to carry alone. ** "West, who was so unsure of himself at first, became confident and steadfast. He truly was my anchor at a time when I was sinking slowly." ** Give me a moment here to gather my thoughts and wipe the tears away. Wow. This book! I absolutely could not wait for it the moment I finished the equally awesome FROM THE WRECKAGE to get my hands on this one. But now that I have finished OUT OF RUINS, I find myself with a huge, whopping case of book hangover. I am not sure I will be able to start the contemporary romance I planned to start right after. In fact, I think I need a good dose of paranormal to help me heal. This book doesn't necessarily end on a happy note for Jules and West, but it ends exactly how it should. How it was meant to end. It ends in a way that makes you crave and desire for ALL THAT REMAINS. I am sitting on pins and needles to know how the series will end. Oh me, oh my. The Romance! I was enamored and in love with these two and the love that just poured from them. Even young, I could see it was there. Heck, even I was beginning to believe that as long as they had each other they could work through anything. They seriously have a beautiful chemistry and a connection like no other. And it has been there from the beginning. If they can just focus on that, they just may be ok. But things are not all rainbows and butterflies for West and Jules. Both are struggling in their own ways and using each other as a crutch to get past their guilt. But the thing about crutches is every movement is slow go. They need real help for the issues they could do past on their own. Miller has yet again proved that she has what it takes to write a book that captures the reader imagination and holds them hostage long after the book is over with. I am proof. OUT OF RUINS is captivating, engaging, and emotional. A definite must read! I will be adding this one right alongside FROM THE WRECKAGE as one of my all-time faves of 2014! 5 Stars all the way!

Speechless. That is how Out of Ruins left me. When I finished this heartachingly beautiful story I wiped my tears away, because yes I was crying, and just sat on my bed at a complete and utter loss of words. Jules and West are two teenagers who have experienced an immense amount of loss, grief, and guilt at a very young and already difficult age. Instead of dealing with their guilt and grief in healthy ways, they get cover up the pain with alcohol, sex, and love. Their story is proof that even when things seem to be going well on the outside, everything can be falling to pieces on the inside. If you have not already read From the Wreckage, book 1 in this series, you seriously need to one click it now.

After readin West's pov first, I missed his in this 2nd installment. Guilt is a heavy thing to deal with and Jules is having a hard time. She cant seem to deal with it or talk about it, even with West. She justs wants to stop having bad dreams and live again. Jules finds that she didnt know her best friend as well as she thought when she uncovers some secrets. Dealing with the guilt leads to a band aid, like drinking, which could be another disaster waiting to happen for her and West.

This entire series will pull on your heart strings and have you guessing at every turn. These characters draw u in and command your attention that is so easily taken. You'll laugh and cry along with them and they will show you that it is possible to pull through anything if u stay strong and believe.

I absolutely could not put this book down! I loved it! I only intended to read a few chapters before bed, but here I am at 4 in the morning writing this to tell you that you should read this story. I had a hard time getting my hands on this book after reading the first one (From The Wreckage), and I kind of went through story withdrawals...so when I was finally able to get Out Of Ruins, I also bought All That Remains so that I wouldn't have to wait AND I am soo glad I did!

The journey for Jules continues as she is in a new school and she is trying to deal with the loss! She turns to some bad habits to try and mask the pain! West is trying to be her support but things are not always easy, especially when Jules tries to hide her pain! What happens when tragedy strikes again? Will Jules and West lives be altered again? Such an emotional story, so excited for the next book! I need to know how it ends!

Guaranteed satisfaction!  After the last words of the book are devoured, one marks the calendar for the next book release date in the trilogy.  I fell in love with the characters and the pace of the story.  The author will certainly receive accolades for her talents with this novel.  I didn’t want to put the book down.  If teachers or high school students are seeking a book for a project or lesson in character development and foreshadowing then this is the book to select.  The intimacy is tastefully approached.  The story is beautifully written.  I look forward to the release of “All That Remains”, August 2014!  You will cheer for West and Jules too, wow what a love story!

There are so many *WONDERFUL* things I could say about Michele G Miller as both a person and an author.  But today, I am focusing on her new release Out of Ruins (From the Wreckage Book 2).   I'm a sucker for a love story.  And when that love story is built out of hardship and tragedy and has to endure trials along the way...I know I'm in for a great read.  Michele did not disappoint in her second installment of the From the Wreckage trilogy.  In FtW, we met Jules and West as they live through a tornado hitting their town.  Out of Ruins continues their story where FtW left off and we get to see their budding relationship grow.  As with any high school romance, there is sure to be trials and tribulations.  Can the love that grew out of the ruins of the storm hold strong or will it all fall to rubble?  Read Out of Ruins and find out!  I can't wait for book 3!
