If you want a short book that is a deep dive into Henri Nouwen's richly honest and authentically Christian spiritual world, this is a good choice. Few authors have helped me as much as Henri Nouwen especially with reconciling the suffering in life with a God who is our loving Father, and learning genuine Christian expression of love in our world.  The forward by Thomas Moore is not helpful and does not add to the book, but fortunately is not too much of a distraction from Henri's words.
