Overview

At forty, Lan Davis is looking for his damned picket fence and 2.5 kids. What he doesn't expect is instead of a wife in the picture, his mind keeps conjuring up images of two men. One, his partner in the force, who is as straight as they came, the other an ex, who he'd hurt but never forgot.

After an incident leaves Lan injured, the two men rally around him… only maybe they shouldn't have. It seems a medicated Lan is a truthful one.

Parker Wilding is pissed at the world. His anger builds when his partner refuses medical care after an attack. Instead, Lan entrusts his neighbour to take care of him—a guy Parker doesn't trust. While he's aware they share a history,
when the past is revealed, the truth shocks the hell out of him.

Being emotionally crushed ten years ago, Easton Ravel hoped he would never have to see the man who broke him again. Hope is a fickle b*itch. And now he's not sure how to handle being face-to-face with the man he once loved. Add in the mix the annoying, testy Parker, and Easton finds his limits are pushed.

Just not in the way he thought they would be.

What happens next sure does come out of the blue

Lan you can say may be going through a mid-life crisis- he’s forty and he thought by now he would have the picket fence dream. Well his dream now consists of two men- one being his partner in the force (who is straight as an arrow) and the other being his ex who he hurt in the past, but still holds close to his heart. Parker, his partner on the force and has quite the temper tude. He’s shocked a few times as some events came “Out of the Blue” (pun intended). Easton (the one who was hurt by Lan) still emotionally struggles with this hurt ten years later. Just when he thinks he can find a new normal-fickle fate comes in “Out of the Blue” (again pun intended). Limits are pushed and tested by Parker, Easton and Lan, but one thing is for sure these men are all Alphas and will protect at no expense. Add into the blue, the Hawks MC and this story has many explosive things going on (best way to state this without spoilers). Loved the Parker reaction to his discovery as I feel this relates to how this would be dealt with in a real-life situation. The cover portrays this trio perfectly and Lila once again gave us an amazing, action packed, full of feelings and emotions story. You truly feel for each man and see their side to things. You love them each equally, faults and all.

Another amazing story in the Hawks MC series, Out of the Blue is part of the Caroline Springs Charter. While the characters aren't members, they are closely tied to the MC. And I know I've been looking forward to their story for a long time! Out of the Blue is a story that you will totally regret not reading. Lan is a detective. He is also a friend/family member of Hawks MC. He is always there when they need him. But he still holds part of himself separate from them, there are parts of who he is that no one knows. There are things in his past that he regrets, things he would do differently, if he could. Parker is the enigma in this story. He is the one that no one knows anything about, even his partner. He lets no one get close, lets no one behind the shields that he holds high. Easton reminds me of a tamer version of Julian! Loveable, loyal, caring. I just can't say enough about how much I loved Easton! He really ties the entire story together! These guys had a difficult path to tread, and many things stood in their way, including their own thoughts and misgivings. I wasn't sure how it was possible for things to have a positive outcome, because it could have easily turned out different. This author has a way of making you guess what is coming next, even if you are pretty sure of the endgame, your predictions are never even close to what actually happens! Just when you let your guard down, something crazy happens, completely out of the Blue, and your heart is pounding again! This author is one that I one-click with no question. I love the Hawks series, as well as everything else that she's written. I also consider myself to be a pretty open minded reader. I've read and loved all kinds of books. Bikers, Rockers, Sports, Menage, MM, MMF, MFM. I'll read most anything. But I had to stop and think about this one! A MMM menage book?!? What in the world! But I've read an MM book, as well as a MMF book by this author, and know how much I loved them. And I've been looking forward to the story of these characters for such a long time! So, I dived right on in. I'm so glad that I didn't let those pesky doubts stop me! While a step outside of my comfort zone initially, this book was a fabulous addition to the Hawks world.

Loved them all. Can't wait for more.

The heart wants what the heart wants went through my mind several times while reading this one. Of course, these guys are thinking more with their heads than their hearts in the beginning. Given the individual circumstances, a relationship like this one is hard to pull off and make it believable, but the author does an excellent job of showing the trepidations and doubts these guys feel while still drawing me in and making me root for all three. I love that each character's voice is distinct even as the points of view change from one to the other. This is the first book I've read from Lila Rose, but it won't be my last. It's a fast-paced, engaging read with plenty of steamy goodness.

Wow... I really don't know what to say. This book is hot, and the author has done a great job showing Parker's inner struggle with everything that happens. I loved the connection between the guys. Also, I love how the author portrays the women of the club, and that includes Julian. I always end up ginning like a fool at my tablet. I am looking forward to see what the author has in store for us. Going by some little hints in this story, I think we might be surprised with an unconventional match up, one that may cause quite a few laughs from the reactions of certain people.
