I am so thankful to have found this series! This book was a very enjoyable read. It is filled with action, love, and relatable characters. This is a great book to read if you enjoy budding romance, adventure, and characters who express a love for God. After finishing this book I started reading the next book in the series as soon as possible!

Great story and highly recommended! It is not often I feel the need to write a review even though B&N would like us all to with each book with purchase; but, this story is one where I just had to because, in my opinion, it deserves it. The story begins with a widowed mother and her three children lost on a seldom used logging trail after she made a wrong turn. Not only lost, but the car had also run out of gas. She was wise enough to stay in the car rather than try to walk back the way they had come. Along comes a former Navy Seal who is trying to complete a trial of wilderness survival in order to get a job which will turn his life around. After leaving the navy he hired himself out for too long a time and finally realized he needed to change his ways because he was scarred both physically and emotionally. He had been out in the wilderness going through the testing for a few days and was beyond dirty when he discovered the car. What was a car doing out here? Is it a part of the test? Suddenly he discovered it had occupants. Not only occupants but a mother and three young children. No one trusted anyone. She was afraid of this "wild" man who was beyond dirty and looked fierce. Finally she realized her only hope of getting back to civilization was to agree for him to help her and her girls. She was on a deadline because her in-laws were trying to take her children away from her and she had to get back for a court appearance. He, was also on a deadline to complete the assignment which meant a new future for him. It was not an easy decision for him but he did decide to help them when one of the girls put a small crack in his armor. That decision put all five of them on a difficult, dangerous and life threatening journey through the wilderness. This is a romance novel filled with adventure and most difficult to put down without finishing in one sitting. As others have written this book is a clean story and does not preach to the reader.

I loved this book because it had an alpha male that was strong, but still loved God. This was a wonderful, clean story that had well thought out characters. Wonderfully written.

While the ending was somewhat predictable, this was a cute story. I especially enjoyed the thought process of this man as he dealt with "smurfs", female attitude and wrestled with doing what was right when it could have meant losing his job. The ending seemed a bit rushed as the author tied up loose ends but it left me with a smile.

I must first preface my remarks by saying that I don't usually read books that are primarily for the "Christian" market, they tend to get too religious for me, but Anita Greene has created a fine blend of  religious inspiration , action, adventure, and romance. The story is about Gray, a soldier of fortune, accidentally finding a lost woman and three of the most adorable kids I've ever met in a book.  I am not going to spoil the book by telling you anything more about it, other than it is a wonderful read, with several twists and turns.

Out of the Wilderness – Anita K. Greene Deb's Dozen: 12-Word Summaries - Lost in the wilderness: one woman, three girls. SEAL to the rescue. Grayson Kerr, applying for a job at the SeaMount Security Agency, has been dropped into the wilderness with little more than his clothes, his knife, and his skill. Ordered to report to SeaMount, he starts the journey back, but spies a van on the way. After the frightened woman he rousts in the van and her three girls calm down, they ask him for help - they're lost. Andi, the middle child, insists he's the angel they prayed for. Reluctantly, Gray agrees to guide them out of the wilderness. One man, one very unprepared woman, and three girls - 9, 7, and 4, embark on the trek of their lives. Will they make it? Will Gray lose his coveted position? Will Sophie lose her girls? Anita K. Greene packs more adventure into one book than you'd dream possible. Just when you're sure the story is over, and they'll all be fine, another adversity or challenge pops up. I read Out of the Wilderness in one night - I couldn't put the book down, much less sleep, until I knew the outcome for Sophie, Hannah, Andi, and Lissa - and whether Gray got his job. Other than an over-abundance of descriptive adjectives, there is little not to like about this book. I look forward to more by Anita. 4 out of 5 stars from me. Anita lives in Rhode Island with her husband, son, and spoiled Belgian Malinois. She enjoys reading, gardening, needlework, and making cards - one day she hopes to get all her photos into a scrapbook. I met Anita at the New England Writers' Conference last October. She gave me a copy of Out of the Wilderness for my candid review. The novel is published by Cedar Lake Studio and is the first book in the SeaMount Series - Inspirational Romantic Adventure.

I loved the storyline. I also loved that there were no sex scenes. Good clean Christian romance. It didn't force religion down your throat either. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!!!!
