When I entered the lottery to have my application fee waived for a shot to get into Wiltshire University I never thought I would get in. I mean, Wiltshire University is the University, you know, the one that people would literally cut off their left arm to get into. No really, it was a thing; there was this whole expose a decade ago about a kid who cut off their left arm thinking it would make them a shoo-in with the admissions board. It didn't. Anyways, when the acceptance packet came in I thought it was a fluke, or I was on a reboot of Punkd; I was totally not signing that release. Either Ashton 2.0 is playing the long game, or my acceptance was real; either way I found myself leaving my two best friends behind to become a Gryphaera. Everything was falling into place for me to have an amazing life.

It has been a few weeks and my only friends here at Wiltshire are the ladies who swipe my ID card in the dining hall, you know, if you define friends as people with whom your entire conversations with consists of "Next." "Hi! Sorry, I had my ID just a second ago. Really hot out there today huh? Ok, well, thanks. Have a nice day!". Yeah, pathetic, I know. On top of that I'm lying to everyone back home about how great things are here at Wiltshire, oh and I some how managed to get myself evicted from my dorm. And bonus, someone is leaving me taunting voicemails and cryptic notes. Now I'm scouring the isolated underground tunnel of Wiltshire's historic bell tower because a note told me to. That's where I meet him. That's where my life really changes.

I love this book! I think the author's way of writing is just my style - I was hooked from the beginning and didn't put the book down until I finished it. There were plenty of times that the unexpected happened, and it felt like someone with a detailed understanding of grammar and the English language actually wrote this. Such a nice change from some of the other books that I've read lately that make no sense! My only complaint is that the whole series isn't out yet!!

Just picked this book up the other day and didn't put it down until I absolutely had to (darn work). This book was so good! The characters were fun and dashing while still retaining some mystery. I liked that the main character had this inner fire and sass that would come out every so often. Honestly couldn't be happier that I picked this novel up.
