About the Author
Denise M Kalos is the Founder and CEO of AFFIRMATIVhealth, launched in May 2016, bringing a precision medicine approach to improve cognitive health for those living with Alzheimer's disease and various cognitive disorders. Ms. Kalos is currently tasked with scaling a physician platform solution delivering comprehensive, precision treatment options to physicians and their patients living with Alzheimer's disease. Recently, Ms. Kalos was Vice President, Cognitive Wellbeing Programs for the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. As a key leader of the Institute's "RE:mind" program, she built the first program globally to utilize personalized medicine providing people customized information and education needed to take control of their cognitive wellbeing. Prior to joining the Buck Institute, Ms. Kalos was VP Corporate Solutions for O'Reilly Media and a member of O'Reilly's Steering Committee for this technology futurist company that coined the term, "Web 2.0". Earlier in her career, she was the first female member of the executive team and Professional Services Practice Leader for a strategy consulting firm, C-Change, Inc. and before C-Change, was part of the executive team that brought AMB Properties Corporation "public" in 1997. Ms. Kalos holds a Master's of Science from University of Leicester and is a California licensed insurance agent. She is a regular speaker at regional, national and global Health & Wellness conferences, speaking recently in Russia and around the world on "Health & Wellness 2020," next generation health/wellness programs. Current speaking engagements include "Alzheimer's: Foresight is 2020".
Ms. McKeany is a Registered Dietitian and has a Master's Degree of Nutritional Science from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego. She takes a personalized approach to improve health and wellness through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Allison has been involved with AffirmativHealth since its inception and has become a key player as AffirmativHealth conducts ongoing research, and as a developer of new programs. Allison currently serves as the Director of Program Development for ADx Healthcare. Allison grew up in Sonoma, California and continues to enjoy the riches of wine country without ever taking a sip.
