This was one of my children's favorite books, and I continue to give it as a baby or birthday gift. Charming illustrations by Garth Williams and a story that wonderfully explains that landmark events (Christmas, birthday, summer trips to the beach) keep happening "over and over". A real treat.
This is such a sweet book which helps teach small children about the order of holidays in our yearly calendar. My own kids love it. And as always, Garth Williams' illustrations are beautiful.
I own a gift shop and I carry a select assortment of children's books as part of my inventory. My children loved to have this book read to them 'over and over' and now I am reading it to my first grandchild. The pictures in the book are stunning. I enjoyed looking at them as much as the children.
This is a wonderful book because it describes the passage of time through the mind of a child. A little girl half-remembers special days, and goes through the seasons and holidays. It's a gorgeous book with great content and I've used it in my classes for over 5 years!
