Two eggs, over easy...
...with a side of disaster.

I always said I wouldn't waitress again unless I hit rock bottom.

Well, I can't possibly fall any farther. Or harder.

Dumped by my ex? Check. Back in my hometown? Double check. Making a fool of myself in front of the sexiest stranger I've ever seen? Nailed it.

My newest customer at the diner is sinfully delicious...and a single dad. There's no room for a walking catastrophe like me in a life like his.

But when he smiles at me, I'm ready to spray him in the face with whipped cream. Again.

No. I have no chance.

Unless I can serve up the one thing he really needs...

Amelia Wilde writes steamy contemporary romance and loves it a little too much. She lives in Michigan with her husband and daughters. She spends most of her time typing furiously on an iPad and appreciating the natural splendor of her home state from where she likes it best: inside.

The storyline premise is interesting. It just did get told well. It seemed superficial and fast. Didn’t really get attached to the characters. It does have a HEA though which is nice.

Minnie, cutest kid ever! Trying to carry on a “fling” while falling in love? Not the easiest choice but definitely fun!

Before Over Easy ended a new story started about Dash and Ellery. Then the book went back to Ryder and Valentine. The epilogue was not about Over Easy. Very confusing. Don’t know if I got the whole story or not. Did anybody proofread this?

But not much story. I'm no prude but when two of three main characters are a father and his toddler daughter 135 f...s is pretty excessive.

Reasonably interesting-except for the glaring typos

Whoa! Talk about shallow, immature characters. And, the f-bombs and s-words are plentiful. I stopped ready before the first 100 pages. UGH!

Funny and sweet Valentine needs a new start. After her ex dumps her his father fires her. So she escapes to Lakewood and gets her old waitressing job back. All she wants to do is regroup so she can start over until He walks in with the cutest little girl. She’s in trouble now. Ryder needs a new start. His junkie ex went to work one day and didn’t return. It never was easy but it was impossible without the minimal help she gave him. So he moves his daughter and himself to Lakewood to be close to his brother and regroup. Until he walks into the local diner and sees Her. He’s in trouble now.

I really enjoyed this book! I thought that Ryder and Valentine had great chemistry, and it came through in the story. There were funny moments, and some sad ones too. I LOVED that Valentine stood up for herself to Conrad, that scene was great! I felt like she carried over her anger onto Ryder though. I was really glad to see them work through it, and the HEA was great. This is another great one from this author! Can't wait to see what's next :) I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
