Overview

"A delightful read ... a laugh out loud book ... part mystery, part chic lit, part suspense, part romance ... funny, sweet, and very engaging." (A Splendid Messy Life)

Allie Parker's had enough. Just because she's a dog groomer, her overachieving family of doctors and lawyers treats her like a child. She's convinced that a successful husband is all she needs to change their attitudes.

So when she and her friends come up with a brilliant new way to meet eligible men, Allie squeezes into her sister's stylish clothes and sneaks into continental breakfast at an upscale hotel to find herself the perfect guy. Before Allie has taken her last bite of syrup-laden waffle, she's met the man of her dreams. But what she doesn't know is that he's a jewel thief who mistakenly thinks she's his contact-and so does everyone else who's after his stash of diamonds.

Suddenly Allie's world is crazily upended. And as she scrambles to prove her innocence and get back to her old life, she discovers happily ever after sneaks up when you least expect it.

This was a great fast summer read! Super cute, light, and funny. The author's style reminds me a little of Sophie Kinsella. The perfect romp for a vacation weekend.

A cute, silly,adventure/mystery type of novel with a little romance thrown in. This book was a lot of fun to read. It grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept me interested the whole way through. It was a fast-paced, easy to read novel. I flew through this book. The characters were very real and believable. I felt like I was spending time with a girlfriend. The writing was very easy to follow. It flowed very easily. The conversations between characters was to the point and not drawn out. I loved reading this book. It reminded me of reading a Janet Evanovich type of novel, mixed with some Joanne Fluke. It was just a lot of fun. The type of book you can pick up on a weekend that will take your mind off of reality and make you laugh and forget your troubles. A great start to a series! This book was pure fun and joy to read. I am very excited to read the next one and see what kind of silly adventure, mystery, and romance it holds. *I received a copy of this book from ireadbooktours in return for an honest review.

Over Easy by new to me author Pamela Ford was a hilariously laugh-out-loud adventure. The premise of this story is about three best friends who are trying to make love matches. For instance, they joined a gym to try to meet some guys; however that didn’t work out so well. So Megan, the lawyer comes up with an old idea of sneaking into the continental breakfasts at hotels to meet the loves of their lives. And so The Continental Breakfast Club has begun. Over Easy is really Allie’s story and she is an owner of a dog grooming business much to the chagrin of her parents, who would like her to finish college and become a veterinarian. Allie is also the baby of the family and is always treated as such not only by her parents, but also her siblings. She not only wants to meet the man of her dreams, but also be able to take him as a date to her parents 45th wedding anniversary, in her own mind proving she is not such a screw up. Let the shenanigans begin. This is a comedy of errors, mishaps, and ridiculous lies. There is mystery and danger as Allie gets more than she bargained for at the first breakfast and she ends up with some rather costly jewels. I liked how all three friends stuck together through thick and thin, the dogs add a nice comical touch, and true love may come out of all this mess for Allie when she wises up and finally decides to tell the truth (however ridiculous and strange it may be). I always enjoy a book that can make me laugh and this one had me roaring. I would consider this a clean read except for the sprinkling of bad language throughout. I believe there are about three instances of the (F) word and there is other crude language as well. That language seemed especially rough for this mostly light hearted comedy. You have been forewarned. I received a copy for an honest review through iRead Book Tours and the opinions are my own.

This is the first book in a series that I was lucky enough to get to read. This was such a fun book to read. It was a light book that reads very quickly. Another thing I like about this book is that the way the author writes and makes you feel as if you are a part of the story. What a funny plan to go to a continental breakfast to find yourself a boyfriend. I can just imagine what was going through Allie's mind or maybe not going through her mind. Going along with Allie is like being with your best friend. Full of adventure and laughs. I am starting book two asap and watch for my review of that at the end of the month.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of Over Easy by Pamela Ford for the purpose of an honest review. It was an absolute pleasure to read Over Easy by Pamela Ford. This is a book that captured my attention and held it from cover to cover. It had plenty of action including manhunting, sleuthing, and lots of laughter! Ms. Ford has created a cast of characters that is easy to relate to, then you mix in a trio of furry friends and the story is bound to get a little wild! I love that Over Easy is the first book in a series so I can get my fix for The Continental Breakfast Club in pretty short order! You should pick up a copy. I think you’ll be very pleased with your purchase! I definitely recommend Over Easy by Pamela Ford and give it five steaming hot cups of Room With Books coffee. ©July 31, 2016 Patricia, Room With Books

I won this book from Goodreads giveaways. What do get when you have 3 single women looking for love and do it in a different way. Well these wonderful women decided to try going to Contential Breakfast at their local hotels to try and meet single men. Well Allie met a nice guy and ending up having a date later in the evening at a local bar. Little did she know that the guy was actually thinking she was the buyer for a million dollar diamond ring. She just thought he was a nice guy she could get to know to take to her parents forty-fifth wedding anniversary since they think she can't do anything because they still treat her like the baby of the family. In comes her friend Maureen and Bree the others in the Breakfast club. Little did they know what was happening and the scary things that would happen. Thank goodness for the dogs and a wonderful dog owner. I loved this story and can't wait to read the next episode
