Over The Ocean & to the Links - A Golfer's Journey
The purpose, in writing this, is to inspire and guide other solitary, or small groups of golfers, to follow the dream and experience the unique joy of golf in Scotland. I am just a regular working guy, not wealthy or well to do, just a person who clips coupons for the local food store and simply enjoys the game of golf.

Since I started playing, I had long had the interest in making the trip, to the home of golf. However, I had always been put off by the stories of trips arranged through tour groups, not to mention the expense. I have always been the type of person to do things my own way, and not be excessively bound by other peoples arrangements. On top of that, I really didnt have a lot of other golfing buddies that I could collaborate with. So what to do? Here is my story.

About the Author

JEFF FOULK - A graduate of Temple University, in Ornamental Horticulture, was born on Long Island, NY, in August of 1943. Upon graduation, the plan had always been to join the family business, Bloodgood Nurseries, which was a wholesale plant nursery located on Long Island for several generations. At the age of fourteen, the business relocated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia.

However, a growing interest in cars and racing took him away from horticulture and eventually evolved into a ten year career as a professional drag racer. Jeffs drag racing career coincided with the evolution of nitro funny cars, which changed the face of the sport. After racing, Jeff remained in the automotive field, as a shop owner and dealership mechanic.

Always interested in competitive sports, Jeff took up golf at the age of sixteen and became a single digit handicapper, used to shooting in the 70s, and occasionally breaking par. Over the Ocean and to the Links: A Golfers Journey is Jeffs first book.

JAY A. BLUM - A graduate of Everglades University with a Master of Business Administration degree and now a Doctoral Candidate in Business Administration with Marketing Specialization, from Walden University, was born in Philadelphia, PA in January of 1970. Jay is a veteran marketing consultant with more than twenty years of experience. Jays marketing expertise draws on a broad range of experience that has allowed him to be instrumental in launching and building many companies as market leaders across several industries.

This success reflects his ability to provide strategic direction and exemplifies the potential to offer customer insight, define value propositions, build strong branding, and develop integrated marketing programs. Over the Ocean and to the Links: A Golfers Journey is Jays first published book with two additional books currently under publisher review. The first is titled, The Internet as a Marketing Environment and the second is titled, Social Media as a Marketing Environment. Both books should be available soon.
