This is one of the few books I've read that gives parents concise, practical plans for very specific issues for children with moderate to mild autism. It is the only book I've come across that addresses echolalia in any detail in terms of helping your child at home. It is also a very optimistic book and is co-written by a therapist and a parent. It was the few books that gave us a sense "this will get easier" with some hard work. For us, it worked well as an accompaniment to our child's therapy so we could help more with implementation at home.

Finally a book that addresses the child as a part of a family, and as a child who is more than just a child with autism! DO glad I saw this summary on ParentsDigest!
