Christopher G. Fairburn, DM, FMedSci, FRCPsych, is Wellcome Principal Research Fellow and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. He directs the Centre for Research on Eating Disorders at Oxford (CREDO). Dr. Fairburn is a research clinician who has won many awards, including the Aaron T. Beck Award from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and the Outstanding Researcher Award from the Academy for Eating Disorders. I read this book with great hopes. I now understand that I do have disordered eating. The problem is that it really does not accomplish what I would like it to. I want to end up being thin and not having disordered eating. I guess that is now something anyone can guarantee.
