Overkill by Lyn Riddle

"You ruined my life. You ruined my baby's life!"

Laurie Show was as compassionate as she was hard-working. The outgoing high-school junior worked part-time to pay for the home she and her divorced mother shared. Yet she always had time to tutor friends struggling in school. And she befriended a dejected classmate after his traumatic breakup with his pregnant long-time girlfriend Michelle Lambert.

But soon things spiraled into jealous obsession, stalking, and a brutal attack that left Laurie murdered in her own bedroom. And once Michelle started telling one lie too many, the ensuing investigation shattered a peaceful community. Noted crime writer Lyn Riddle also brings you the latest updates on Michelle Lambert, her accomplices, and those involved in this unforgettable case.

Includes 16 pages of dramatic photos.

I just finished this book. It was.......different. This book had 3 suspects involved and 2 of them were very hard to believe. Parts of the evidence were very hard to follow. IF in fact that letter from Lisa to her boyfriend was not tampered with, then the mental state of that girl is way off. In my mind I think she commited the murder and the fact that at one point she was released from prison is crazy. She has a way getting to people. I would have here locked away for good with some very serious mental help. The girl's a nut and the boyfriend is right behind her on that. As for the other girl involved, well, she was at the wrong place at the wrong time, with bad company. Out of all 3 she is the only one who really expressed remorse. My heart goes out to the mother of Laure because of all the pain some foolish kids caused. Read it for yourself and you'll see all the drama these kids stur up.

This book is about the savage stalking and brutal murder of Laurie Show, a 16-year old girl from Lancaster PA. The book starts off with the details of the murder, then everything that led up to it. Most of the book covers the 'sensational trial' (as the book calls it). If you know anything about this case (Commonwealth of Pennsylvania V Lambert), you will be shocked by the testimony that was given in court. There was a movie on the USA Network about this very same case, and as I read the book, everything in the movie matched the book, but, there were several things that the movie didn't touch on. I have researched alot on this case, and from what I know, the docmuentaion in the book is very accurate. Nothing is left out. I can almost assure you, that when you've read the whole book, you'll find yourself wondering who actually did it. This is a great book and has great detail. Such great detail in fact, that the book promises '16 Pages of Shocking Photos' (as most Pinnacle True Crime Titles do). This book is a phenomeonal find.
