Overview

Palmetto: Symbol of Courage by Kate Salley Palmer

“This book is well-written. My 4-year old son was fully engaged throughout the book. At first glance I was afraid that it would be too long to fully hold his attention, but I was mistaken. He sat through the entire reading and loved it. It clearly explained the battle for a child to understand without being graphically detailed. I love finding books like this one that explain events of historical significance to young children. They are invaluable to our family’s library! This is a book that I look forward to reading many times to my kids.”
