I lost her. No. I threw her away. She was my best friend. I was never supposed to fall in love with her. I was careless. She was heartbroken. I thought I was doing fine. But here she is, years later, forced to work with me, reminding me why I fell in love with her in the first place. And this time I'm going to do everything in my power to never let her go.

About the Author

Claire doesn't like to talk about herself. Because of this, she asked a friend of hers to write her bio. This is what she got:

Claire is caring, smart, witty, and funny as heck. Despite being a New York Times Best Selling Author of a popular contemporary romance series, Claire doesn't read many romance novels. However, when she sits down to write, those are the ones that pour from her fingers. Much to her displeasure, we like to say she's a romantic at heart.

She lives in Miami with her hot husband, two adorable boys, three bulldogs, and two stray cats that she refuses to admit are hers (even though they live on her porch and she continues to feed them). When she's not writing, she's always lost in a book (the more suspenseful, the better).

I really enjoyed Kaleidoscope Hearts and Paper Hearts. They were well written and emotional. I hope to read a story about Victor in the future.

Jensen and Mia's life were gut renching, emotional roller coaster ride along with great friends and family. The chemistry of all characters and well written this book was leaves you/me wanting more... Definitely a re-read... LOVETOREAD

Paper Hearts by Claire Contreras (Audio Edition) Narrated by Misty Stone and Vikas Adam Series: Hearts #2 4.5 stars - I loved the chemistry between Mia and Jensen and I could really feel how much he loved her. Some of the things he said to her just made me melt! I could tell Mia loved him a lot too, however she was very cautious with her heart and at a point in the story I was a bit disappointed that she was STILL acting like Jensen wasn't all in, which considering how much he's shown her, surprised me. In the end though it was a sweet and heartwarming story. I have not read this author before but I will be sure to check her out again. Misty Stone’s narration was quite good. Vikas Adam sounded like he was trying to deepen his voice and I found it sounded odd,(almost “pretend scary monster” like) however he didn't have a lot of parts to read and I got used to it after a while. In the end I thought the narration overall was well done. ~Paragraphs and Petticoats~

The writing is good! The sex is good! It could be such a great book!!! But the heroine is so wishy washy! She's in no wait she's out! You know what's going to happen but it just drags on and on! This is the second book I've read in this series and I'm tapping out! Can't take it!

Was a wonderful story about love and what one will go through to find that one true love. It's about second chances and looking deeply into one's self. It was a heart felt story and loved it.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I loved it more than Kaleidoscope Hearts. It was heartbreaking, funny, and sweet. I felt the pain and struggle for both main characters. It was one of those rare books that kept me up until 4:30 am because there was no way I could put it down.

There aren't enough stars to rate this book. Sometimes you're lucky enough to make a personal connection with a book and this one hit me hard. I love Mia and Jensen and was so taken in with their story. I'm glad the novella came out first because the past was laid out for us already. Mia's pain bled through the pages. She is such a strong female character and I wish there were more characters out there like her. Normally I always have a soft spot for the male character of the first book of a series BUT OMG Jensen has nothing on Bean!!! I enjoyed Jensen Talks and thought that was a unique edition to the story. " You planted a seed inside of me, and it's spread like ivy over my heart. There's no room for anybody else."

Jensen is the heart of Paper Hearts, he wears his heart on his sleeve and thanks to his columns, we get a peek inside of his head. Mia on the other hand, is a bit cold. He made a mistake years ago and she has held it against him. The phrase, "Get out of your own way," is perfect for her. She's been fighting her feelings for years and has been holding onto her anger. I wrote in my comments, "I rant because I love." I spent so much of this book furious with her. But it's so wonderfully written and you can see that they're perfect for each other so just hang in there for the ending, which is so heartfelt and sweet.

I can't even begin to tell you how good this book was!!! Everyone loves a second chance romance and this has to be one of the best. The feelings in this book will knock your socks off. Jensen was the perfect broken hero. I loved his newspaper stories...his steadfastness to recapture what he had lost...priceless! "REAL LOVE STORIES NEVER END."

Pure Perfection! Have you ever read a book that from the first chapter you were all in? This is that kind of story. Please read Torn Hearts first, that's a must to get the back story of Jensen and Mia. Paper Hearts picks up with Mia moving to New York for a couple of months for a job opportunity. Of course this job comes with much more than she bargained, Jensen. Childhood sweethearts, long times love, and heart-breaker is how Mia would describe Jensen. Perfect, soul mate, the one that got away is how Jensen would describe Mia. Sometimes our pasts don’t stay in the past and sometimes our futures don't look so bright.... or does it. "Think about your actions they have consequences." ~Jensen.

Like kaleidoscope hearts, this was really well written but it was annoying how indecisive and self righteous the main character was... But if she was more decisive, the book would be shorter and that would be disappointing. All in all, good sexy read
