About the Author

Mary Campisi writes emotion-packed books about second chances. Whether contemporary romances, women's fiction, or Regency historicals, her books all center on belief in the beauty of that second chance.

Mary should have known she'd become a writer when at age thirteen she began changing the ending to all the books she read. It took several years and a number of jobs, including registered nurse, receptionist in a swanky hair salon, accounts payable clerk, and practice manager in an OB/GYN office, for her to rediscover writing. Enter a mouse-less computer, a floppy disk, and a dream large enough to fill a zip drive. The rest of the story lives on in every book she writes.

When she's not working on her craft or following the lives of five young adult children, Mary's digging in the dirt with her flowers and herbs, cooking, reading, walking her rescue lab mix, Cooper, or, on the perfect day, riding off into the sunset with her very own hero/husband on his Ultra Limited aka Harley.

Mary has published with Kensington, Carina Press, and The Wild Rose Press. She is currently working on A Family Affair: Fall, Book Four in the popular Truth in Lies Series, due out Fall 2014.

Sad to find that these characters are deviod of the proper feelings that accompany their emotional situations through-out the book. When they are faced with situations like he finding out his lover had lost a baby and a husband at one time, shows her only anger she didn't tell him. This goes on several times making the characters unlikable. There is also a stereotypic hispanic cook. Really, crying holding her rosary and saying "Dios Mio" all the time. I finished the book hoping for a little more on the description of being blind and his movements, her compassion about it, how he felt to see her for the first time. It came up short and off.

The accident left Matthew Brandon blind and a recluse refusing to allow the world to see him. His despondent brother Adam begs family friend, psychologist Jeff Sanders, to fly across the continent to California to see Matthew. Though willing he cannot leave his wife pregnant with complications at this moment. Jeff asks his partner Sara Hamilton to fill in temporally until he can arrive. Sara believes Matthew contains the same negative traits as her ex-husband and wonders how she can overcome her own obvious bias to help the author who has already devoured four West Coast psychologists. Still no one, including her, refuses Jeff.

Sara travels to California only to hit the Great Wall as Matthew refuse to see her. Like a crash dummy, Sara consistently bashes his defenses until they begin to crumble enabling her to work inside to his fractured soul. He counters by shattering the locks around her heart. Will these two injured beings find solace in their love for one another or will they continual to relive the past that controls the present and the future?

PARADISE FOUND is a potent contemporary tale that stars two hurting individuals that begin to heal through love. The story line could have been a trite retelling of love heals all, but author Mary Campisi never lets the melodrama take control. The audience deeply feels the angst and pain as if it is their own as Ms. Campisi acknowledges that her own first hand dealing with illness and pain is imbued inside her two wonderful lead characters. This furbishes an ardent novel that never loses its focus on the essence of humanity.

Great Matt lost his sight in a freak skiing accident, he was noir handling it well. His best friend is a psychologist and was going to come help him in California. But his wife was having problems with her pregnancy. So he sent his partner Sara. Matt didn't trust her, his last ones were bad. But she decided to accept his terms of being a friend. This is the second book I've read by this author and have enjoyed them both. I found this hard to put down and I enjoyed all of the characters. If all of her books are this compelling, I will be reading more.

I have just recently found Mary Campisi, and am looking forward to reading more from this author! Matt was a famous author which is accustomed to every woman falling all over him, even though he is now blind after an accident. His brother Adam begs family friend, psychologist Jeff Sanders, to fly across the continent to California to see Matthew. Though willing he cannot leave his wife pregnant with complications at this moment. Jeff asks his partner Sara Hamilton to fill in temporally until he can arrive. Sarah, a psychologist was abandoned by her husband so does not take any bull from Matt. Their relationship begins to grown as they both let down their guards and trust one another with much chemistry. Again it is all about second chances and starting over.
