First of all, I really loved the artwork for this manga. I loved the story, the characters, and mostly everything about it. There was some comedy, lots of romance, and some twists too. It's my all time favorite manga =)

I suggest if you like shojo(girl)that you need to read this title! At first I wasn't sure if it was something I would like as soon as I started reading it I had to read them all!! It well writen and lots of fun to read!! And something that might actually happen in real life which made it even better! I just wish it would have been longer!!

Volume one is a rush! If I'd of known I'd like the first volume of this series so much, I would have read it a lot sooner. The art work is beautiful, I especially love the way the author draws her character's eyes. The characters are refreshing compared to some of the other Shojo mangas I've read. George is witty and sophisticated, and Yukari keeps up with him well considering she's never even had a boyfriend before. I look forward to reading volume two.

All right this is a great manga even though some times George isn't the sweetist person in the world. I really got into it. George is a love hate kind off guy. On one hand he can be sexy and sweet. Then if he is in a bad mood he can put you down and make you fell bad. But he doesn't want to give you any thing for the people he loves and he doesn't want a girl to give up any thing for him. He has his reasons and Yukari life turns for the better in the end. It is a love story with a lot of twist and turns. I really do love this book and even George.

Seriously, there's some real creativity here, the characters are unique, and the animation is very nicely detailed. What's the problem? The two main characters, George and Yukari. Yukari is unintelligent beyond belief sometimes, but then randomly (mostly later in the series) is full of unfathomable wisdom that actually makes sense. George is a complete j erk and Yukari, like some many shoujo female characters is one of those braindead girls that thinks the first guy they run into is their destiny and they can't possibly live without that person. Sorry, but that plot's been used before Yazawa. The plot does seem to take a few mildy interesting turns, then turns out to be something less interesting. I'd give it a 3 1/2 stars if I could, but again, I wish Yukari's character wasn't so weak willed and niave. At least she came to her senses by the end of the series...

This is my favorite Manga because it combines love with comedy and drama. Ai Yazawa's Art is beautiful, I can't wait to read more from her. The story line kept me on the edge of my seat. When i was done with one book I wanted to go out and buy the next one right away. So I recommend this book highly to anyone that loves cute guys and a good story.

This is the series that's a keep-sake. It will touch your heart no matter what your age is, as long as you've been young once. It's definitely worth my 50 bucks to get the entire series. It's unique yet the emotions are easy to understand and close to what real girls feel. Ai Yazawa's a genius.

When I first heard about Paradise Kiss, I did not take any interest, thinking that a story about fashion models could never live up to the standards of a 'traditional' manga. It was Ai Yazawa's intriguing art style that grabbed my attention and motivated me to give it a chance. I soon found out that the manga was close to perfection. The plot was a breath of fresh air, and it is so different that I could not even think of a category that it could fall into (even though it is supposed to be a shojou manga). This is definently NOT a cliche. Paradise Kiss contains characters that are the polar opposites of your normal manga heroes, who are either unrealistically brave with exaggerated physical features, or way too shy and depressed. Each character is funny in their own way, no matter how out of this world thet may be. Yukari, who is sometimes called Caroline (just in case you get confused), is obsessed with schoolwork and making her parents proud, and George is the gender-blind hero that falls for her. Miwako is the teen girl who looks 8 and speaks in the third person, and Arashi, the punk with the saftey-pin piercings, is Miwako's boyfriend. Isabella is the wise and classy cross-dresser who fooled me at first. Please keep in mind that Paradise Kiss is not for all audiences, and some parents may not feel comfortable letting young children read this manga (this is NOT like Sailor Moon!). Some of the scenes and dialogue are not appropriate for all ages (Although younger children would probably not understand most of the content). Anyway, for anyone who always reads the same type of manga, I urge you to broaden your horizons. I highly reccommend reading this series. After all, Paradise Kiss is truly unique and unusual.

I loved the story line, it's so different from the rest of the mangas out there. Buy it! Trust me, you won't regret it. A word of warning, volumes 2-3 are not for kids (adult themes and such). Otherwise, outstanding!!!

There's so many good things I could say about this manga. It's just the BEST. It's hilarious, edgy, and beautiful. It's the best ten dollars I've ever spent;) I highly recommend this to anyone.

I love this manga!! When I picked it up at the store, it looked interesting, so I bought. About 10 pages in, it was officially my favorite manga. One thing thats so attractive about it is that its not quite like any other manga you've ever read. The difference is very refreshing. The characters are great (Arashi is the best though!) and so is the story line. All in all, this manga totally rules!!! *_*

Ai Yazawa brings the freaks to manga in something that hasn't seen before in anime or manga. Yukari is an average girl that finds herself swept up in an alice in wonderland sort of dream, with an unlikely romance and bizarre new friends. It may seem strange at first, but the story really takes you and you get so wrapped up, you can't wait for the next one to be released!

I fell in love with Paradise Kiss as soon as I read a few pages of it. It proved to be worth $10.00. I loved every char. in P.K. and the artwork was wonderful! The detail that Ai Yazawa put into the clothing was amazing. In short, you need to check out this Manga.

The first volume of 'Paradise Kiss' by Ai Yazawa is amazing. It's not like any other manga I've ever read. First off, TokyoPop presents it in the original format, which is backwards for English readers. It's not all that hard to get used to however, so don't worry! The artwork here is good, but it's the characterization that really stands out. Lovely shojo manga, with completely unique fashion themes and old-fashioned romance themes. The story is compelling and realistic. I really recommend this title a lot!

When I first heard about this wild tale of a girl who gets drawn into a world of fashion, I thought that it would be weird, and it was. But don't get me wrong, I loved it! The love pairings are so diverse, I can't help but get lost in this strange world of Paradise Kiss. The art has its own unique style, but is quite beautiful and the storyline is unlike any of the others I've read. Even though I've only read the first book, I can certainly say that I will buy more to see what happens next!
