About the Author

About The Author

Joy Igweike Okonmah is a Minister of the Gospel of Christ. Born to Chief Gabriel & Mrs. Comfort Igweike (both deceased and of Nigerian descent), she migrated to the United States in the late '90s.

She is a singer, songwriter, Music Evangelist, author, poet, preacher, a creative design artist, and a humanitarian. A gifted and divinely orchestrated writer, she gets her inspiration from God and through different personal and general life experiences. She also writes on various religious and philosophical issues of life.

Minister Joy (for short), holds a bachelor's degree in English and Education, from Nigeria. As an educator, she taught students from 7th Grade through the 12th Grade for more than a decade before relocating to the United States.

With her African background, and as one from a large family, she spent most part of her youth caring for children (including newborn twins), besides working with youngsters from diverse backgrounds and personalities.

Minister Joy also worked briefly with preschoolers here, in the United States, before diverting to a totally new phase in Library Services. She therefore understands what the language of parenting entails.

As a humanitarian (with passion for the hurting and the hurt), she founded Hispraise4WON Ministries, an outreach that reaches out to Widows, Orphans, and the Needy: another way to show her love for children and compassion for humanity. As a worshipper, she holds a weekly Praise and Worship session with like-minded people.
