I thought this was a great debut novel! There are some minor typos throughout but given that the book was self-published that seems pretty normal. I found this story to be gripping, but definitely not for those who are easily triggered by explicit sexual scenes. The protagonist and some of the side characters experience some sexual trauma throughout the book as well. I would say that the scenes depicted in Part I Tatiana are not as intense as those written by Gillian Flynn or David Lagercrantz/Stieg Larsson, but can be upsetting if you were not prepared for it. Overall I found the story compelling and I was drawn in by the protagonist and the side characters from the first chapter. I would say the sexual scenes feel like they are a part of the story as opposed to just being gratuitous especially given that the protagonist is a sex worker and a stripper. I am hoping for and am looking forward to the second installment of the story!

This book is fast paced and reads like a fiction novel/thriller. I would describe it as Fifty Shades of Gray meets Criminal Minds. It left me wanting more. I had trouble putting it down because it was so action packed.
