About the Author
Once there, she learned this was a task, far more difficult than she anticipated, and so she started a princess party company to help her stay on her feet, while she worked as a nanny.
While she never made it to Broadway, she wrote "Party Girl" as a way to fictionally chronicle her adventures in NYC.
Erin now resides in the great city of New Orleans, where she continues to write, teach and perform. She has since retired from doing princess parties.

such a fun romantic comedy! The cover may be deceiving. This is NOT a teen book! It's a fully fledged book for adults, particularly women. It's funny, it's romantic, at times even a little sexy and full of real life insights that everyone who has ever navigated their mid twenties can relate to! Cannot wait for another book by Erin Shaw
When I first opened Party Girl, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I certainly didn't know how exciting I would find the story. Author Erin Shaw has a way of writing that is accessible to any aged mind, but clever enough for an intellectual one as well. She made me laugh, made me fall in love, she made me angry at the various characters throughout the story and she kept taking me around and around in emotions. That isn't because I'm emotional, its because it is exquisitely written. I found myself cheering out loud for Audrey as she continued navigate, not just the big apple, but her young adulthood as well. The other characters that were introduced were so well described that I honest to goodness saw a movie in my mind at each scene. Anyone who has had any experience in New York City will appreciate the countless references that make you feel like you just touched down and were in the heart of Times Square. While reading Party Girl I couldn't help but feel like I was there to see it all. I have my eyes peeled for Erin Shaw's next novel, because she is one of a kind in her style and is an up and comer worth the attention.
I loved this book! It was fun, funny, romantic and such a quick read! I was so sad when it was over. I loved all the characters and related to them so much! Hope there will be a sequel!
