It's good to know I wasn't the only one who wanted to stop reading after the first couple of chapters, but after reading her other novels, I hoped it was going to get better. I wasn't sure of the direction at first but it all comes together and reels you in. I like Steel's style of writing because she makes the places and characters and events come to life, yet she also keeps it realistic in a way that makes you wonder about other people who may have gone through the same situation.

Excellent book about a young woman trying to find out who she truly is. You want to follow Kezia's activities to see how things will turn out for her. She is someone to envy and feel sorry for. An excellent book to read. One that you will want to keep reading to see what will happen to Kezia next. Makes me realize why I am such a Danielle Steel fan.

This was a great book. I think I felt every emotion possible while reading it. It was a total inspiration. The ending could have been a little better but in all it was a great story.

I didn't find this book depresing but rather inspiring. The power of true love and courage can only be inspiring! Just as in life, events don't always turn out the way we may want but there is always a reason.

The book is not bad, but I had to pour myself a drink when I finished reading it, because it made me feel so depressed. I wish Ms. Steel rewrote this book giving it a happy ending.

After spending a full day of reading... Since I couldn't put the book down... I have to say that is GREAT. I have laughed, cried and felt human passion as I made my way thru this book. It is very realistic as Kezia tries to find who she really is and at the end not have the only person who gave light to her lonely life. Loved and enjoyed the book very much... I hope you do too!!!!

THIS BOOK WAS ONE THAT AT FIRST, I COULDN'T GET INTO. I ACTUALLY BELIEVED THAT I WAS JUST GOING TO STOP READING IT. BUT BY THE MIDPOINT OF THE STORY, I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. THIS BOOK WAS VERY WELL WRITTEN AND I REALLY ENJOYED THE STORY. THE NOVEL EXPLAINS TO US THAT WE ALL LIVE DOUBLE LIVES SOMETIMES, BUT WHEN YOU FIND SOMEONE THAT YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR LIFE WITH, YOU CAN BE YOURSELF AROUND THEM AND KNOW THAT THEY WILL RESPECT YOU FOR WHO YOU REALLY ARE. THIS IS THE FIRST DANIELLE STEEL NOVEL I HAVE READ AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE OF HER WORK IN THE FUTURE!
