Moosetail whirled around camp, making sure nothing was left. He checked every den and corner. After about an hour, the brown tom frowned. His head ducked and tail lowered to the ground. Realizing why everything in him was saying stay longer, the brown tom padded out of the entrance. "Silverbolt..." The edges of his eyes were watery now. In front of everyone, he had to be the strong and run-to kinda tom. Inside, he grieved and held on to pride and tears. Now that he was alone, he couldn't help but let it out. A gurgled yowl wailing thing escaped his throat as he sat near the grave.

Shellpool nods to Flowernose, though she had already guessed SHe had allergies. She yawns and rests her head on her paws, falling asleep. <p> Fernkit yawns, watching everyone sleepily.

Stormyeye padded out of the warriors den. He wished Larkpaw was back. He padded out of camp to think alone. Mistyrose and Spottedpine are mates maybe, Lilywolf and Goldenstripe, Velvetstar and Nightfang, Commetstorm and Minnowfern, Moosetail and Silverbolt, and a few other pairs. He hoped he could be in there too with Larkpaw... his eyes welled up with tears, remembering his mother, Icefire. She had gone off in search of her best friend, Lilywolf and Goldenstripe. If she could not find them, she would find her own family. The thought dawned upon him and he raced onto the moor, trying to find a place to hide.

"I'm here," th yellow shecat meowed and padded up to Shellpool to see her sneezing and knew right away what it was. "Yes, you have allergies. With all the grass, flowers, and sometimes even the sun coming out, this is allergy season. The most common thing to be allergic to is pollin from flowers, though. There really is no herb to ease your sneezing, but don't go sniffing any flowers." (Wont be on for the weekend!)

Owners of the Saucy Lucy Café, Lexie Lightfoot and her sister Lucy, who is married to the county sheriff, live in Moose Creek Junction, Wyoming. Crime, especially violent crime, is rare in the small-town. However, when the occasional murder occurs, somehow Lexie is in the middle. Of everything Lucy goes along with her in order to keep her sibling out of trouble ¿ an impossible task. At the café, wealthy reclusive Eleni Andros uses the Heimlich Maneuver to save the life of Lexie choking on a carrot. Lexie is grateful to the heroine and Eleni begins to work at the café. However, one day dependable Eleni fails to show up or answer her phone. This is out of character for the reliable woman so the sisters go over to insure she is okay. No one greets them but Lexie¿s dog leads them to a body buried in the rose garden. With the best detective on vacation and the cop assigned to investigate vanishing, Lexie takes over inquiring into who would kill a friend of hers. --- The second Lexie-Lucy amateur sleuth (see THE SAUCY LUCY MURDERS) is a charming regional whodunit with plenty of humors and winks. Since Eleni was rich, Lexie begins with the greedy inheritance motive, but the horde of family members prove overwhelming to sort through while Lucy tries to persuade her to let the cops do their job. Lurch the dog provides comic relief with his flatulence emissions as Cindy Keen Reynders provides an enjoyable down home mystery inside a warm family drama. --- Harriet Klausner
