My life has been blessed. I'm not saying I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, was spoiled or never had problems. But my parents were loving, hard-working, caring, protective and supportive of me. Whatever path to progress I wanted to take, they gave me the go ahead. My life changed drastically at 18. Sadly, I lost my father to leukemia right after I graduated, and lost my childhood best friend to the evil streets--to a much older and very abusive man who swooped her up as soon as she turned 18. Her hopes and dreams were crushed by his strong control and abuse. I was determined to go on with my life to be the best I could despite all the obstacles I faced. I empowered myself! I learned in my twenties, what it felt like to be a victim and I didn't want to go out like that! I made Wedsnesday's Child Transform to Thursday's Child!
I wrote this book to tell my story in hopes that it will inspire and motivate someone else. We don't have to be victims of our circumstances. Instead, we can become overcomers, survivors and victorious!
