Access to affordable and quality education to all is a key challenge to our education system. While we have attained a reasonable level as far as access is concerned, we have a long way to go to match the quality aspect at par the international standards. We have no dearth of dedicated and knowledgeable teachers, but most often than not we lack in devising teaching standards and more so fail to put it to practice on sustainable manner for effective classroom delivery. Dr. Savita Mishra, Associate Professor possesses Ph.D. (Edn), M Sc (Env. Sc.); M Sc (Applied Biology); MA (EPA); MA (Edn); M Ed; M Phil (Edn); NET and SLET. She is engaged in teaching and research activity for more than a decade. She has contributed number of articles in leading national and international journals. She has authored six books so far and contributed chapters in edited books. She has also earned a number of awards and accolades from leading national and international organization such as 'University Medal' by North Bengal University, 'Best Teacher Award' by Sikkim Central University, 'Leading Educationists of the World' by IBC, Cambridge, London etc. Her name has also figured in the 'Asian Admirable Achievers', 'Who is Who' and 'Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award' by New Delhi based organizations. She has also developed learning materials for primary classes which has been lauded by Government of Sikkim.
